> 3 dayAs a self taught guitarist, I do understand the basics and whilst my own methods arent necessary orthodox, I have had a lot of fun with my instrument. What this title does is help the user with easy lessons to pick up some great techniques (both for new and established guitarists) in various styles and backs up the lessons with easy to follow videoes that the user can speed up or slow down to help them learn.

> 3 dayThis was a mess. The videos jumped and skipped and the whole thing looked as if it had been made 15 years ago. It was not particularly user friendly and the song selection weak. It actually asked for an older version of the video plug in than the one that I had on my PC. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. It is just rubbish I dont know who would be inspired by it.

> 3 dayA nice enough intro to the guitar, with guides on how to string and tune your guitar (has a guitar tuner option, if your PC has a microphone), some 80 lessons on playing simple chords, various strumming styles and chord progressions. An animated fretboard demonstrates the fingering and there are also a number of videos that demonstrate various aspects of the lessons being taught. Theres also a digital metronome and recording option so you can record and playback your newly acquired guitar prowess. There are some 40 or so songs to learn as you go along.

> 3 dayI was taking guitar lessons and I wasnt going anywhere until I purchased this program. First of, it has its own set of tools and is interactive I have advance so much that even my daughter was amazed of how much I had progressed and although I have long ways to go before I get more proficient this product has helped me a whole lot. It is easy to follow and you learn at your own pace. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to learn to play guitar at an affordable price.

> 3 dayAs stated, if you are a beginner who doesnt even know how to string a guitar, have trust that youll learn here. From simple folk songs, like Clementine to Knockin on heavens door (by both Bob Dylan and Guns and Roses) youll learn by playing. It comes with a metronome to help you learn the beat, a tuner (and by comes with I mean, it uses your microphone on your computer, so youre best to actually buy a real tuner) and a full chord chart.

> 3 dayI found this quite useful in that it encourages me to pick up the guitar and play along to some of the tunes and it does help with getting your timing more accurate as I often find my playing speed varies when Im playing along on my own. There is a lot of variety in the songs from folk to rock and you are introduced to appropriate timing and strumming techniques in a very clear way. You can play along with the songs and then you get a virtual fretboard displayed and flashing notes to indicate where you - should be - up to; beware though the bloke who sings most of these songs has an absolutely awful voice.
