> 3 dayIve had the product for only 2 days now and I love it. I play a wide variety of instruments but the guitar is something that Ive wanted to play for years now. This product truly can assist anyone young or old how to play. It will go above and beyond the expectations of anyone who purchases it. Each time I use the program it feels like Im somewhere like Guitar Center paying out the a$$ for guitar lessons. Dont get me wrong, I love Guitar Center and there one-on-one lessons are great, but if youre on a budget and youre determined to learn how to play within your available free time (night or day) then this is the way to go.

Greater than one weekI bought this for my husband, who is learning to play the guitar; and, managed to lose the CD provided with the original Guitar for Dummies book. He didnt even want to open the package because then you cant send it back and because he is not very computer savvy. Long story short: the first lesson convinced him this is the way to learn. Chords are clearly presented, played so finger position is displayed and then chords are used in a song. Computer savvy is obviously not a necessary ingredient! Presents the basics in an easy, interesting and musical way. Now I have to wait (interminably) to use the computer.

> 3 dayThe Guitar For Dummies CD-ROM is an interactive set of lessons in basic guitar techniques. Id stress the basic - working through this is not going to make anyone the next Hendrix or Clapton. Itll give you a basic set of techniques and chords, and you learn a few simple tunes, but the final page of the lessons is a plug for the intermediate course.

> 3 dayAs a self taught guitarist, I do understand the basics and whilst my own methods arent necessary orthodox, I have had a lot of fun with my instrument. What this title does is help the user with easy lessons to pick up some great techniques (both for new and established guitarists) in various styles and backs up the lessons with easy to follow videoes that the user can speed up or slow down to help them learn.

25-11-2024You like this so much you will have sore fingers. It might be a Dummy book, however it does get the strings some exercise and good tones ringing in our ears. This might be the start of a good relationship with music and one of the free joys we can experience. You will not believe how creative you are until you have this experience.

> 3 dayThis is a good program, especially for beginners. My only complaint, which isnt even really a big deal, is the disc needs to be in the computer if you want to watch any of the videos or listen to any sounds. I wish it would have just installed the entire thing onto the computer. Also, I wasnt sure if it would be compatible with windows 7, since there was no mentioning of it, but rest assured, it is compatible.

> 3 dayGot this as a Christmas present. When opened, it had the wrong CD. Had to order replacement and return the first one.

> 3 dayOver the years the dummies guides have given safe, sound and scholarly advice on everything from learning languages to flirting - literally the sublime and the ridiculous. For the main part though these cleverly put together training manuals have been written by experts in their given fields in a simple, constructive and progressive style.

> 3 dayI bought this for my husband for christmas. He is a very hands on and visual learner so I loved the idea of the videos; however this was more like a glorified book on the computer... the videos and the audio refused to work... I intend to return this and find somthing else that works... Very disapointed...

23-11-2024The seller was great, the software I did not like the soft ware is not what I was looking for.
