> 3 dayThe Outdoor Switch was very easy to setup with my Z-wave hub and worked flawlessly with outdoor lights. My only complaints would be that it is a higher price than many smart outdoor switches and only has one outlet. Also, the cord is very stiff so tough to bend depending on how the outlet receptacle is positioned and may stick up instead of fall towards the wall. If cost were not an issue, I would recommend this product.

> 3 dayI have over 25 z-wave devices in my home connected to Alexa. Either directly through Alexa or via an Alexa Skill (SmartThings, Phillips Hue, Arlo). This is the first GE Enbrighten device I have purchased. It is connected to both SmartThings Apps. However, it does not connect to Alexa. Thus, no need for me to keep. I will try again tomorrow and if I cant get it to work I will have to work. If COVID-19 wasnt around I could probably call customer service to see if they can assist. Unfortunately, that is not an ootion and I dont have the patience to wait until this pandemic is over. I need something now.

> 3 dayPricey for only being able to turn on/off both outlets at once - but it works well. Paired with my HUSBZB-1 stick and HomeAssistant easily, and helped range issues I was having with my Kwikset 910 front door lock, as it kept losing its pairing with my z-wave stick.

06-06-2025This review is written on the Gen 2 product and mirrors my Gen 1 review. I have used the Gen 1 version for a couple of years. It works fine and has excellent range, although I do have repeaters (Aeotec) around the house. The Gen 2 is about $9 more currently (May 2020). This time I bought a Gen 1 and a Gen 2 and tried them out on an outlet outside and about 100 from my house. Both worked fine. The Gen 2 is smaller, maybe one-third smaller. The Gen 2 has an indicator light on the front which can be programmed to be on when switch is off or vice versa. Thats a nice plus as with Gen 1 you have to just listen. Gen 1 also has a nice cover over the outlet while Gen 2 does not. So unless one of the features of the Gen 2 is something you require, smaller size or the status light, for the money, Id stay with the Gen 1 for the time being.

> 3 dayI like this product a lot, but heaven help you if you get one that doesn’t play nicely with a Smarthings hub. You best bet is it exclude it, then reset to factory settings. I then found that holding the on button as I plugged it in did the trick. It’s also a bummer that it’s sold out in many places. Even though I’ve had a few bumpy installs, I like to stick to a consistent group of products to make troubleshooting and integration easy.

> 3 dayWorks great with the wink hub. This is the second generation lighting control with z wave plus. The only thing I did not like compared to the previous version is the second outlet is no longer a pass through. They are now both switched.
