> 3 daySaw it on a youtube channel that is all about repairing pinball and arcade machines...located in NC. It is just fantastic, lots of suction, and it uses a (silicon?) small tube for the suction part so you can stick it right on the pad and right on your soldering iron...the tube will almost seal around both. And it comes with about 2 of spare tubing. I have a regular vacuum desoldering system...but sometimes you cant take the project to the shop...I have been buying them and giving them away to my builder friends.

> 3 dayThis thing is a total pain to use one handed, the button is in the exact wrong spot and because there is no neck to hold onto you have to grip it in a weird way to get to it. It also jams up with solder after 2 goes, so not exactly useful. Just get a cheap one, this isnt worth the price.

19-04-2025I will only ever buy this solder sucker. The silicone tip is great as it enables you to apply the iron directly to the tip and it doesnt melt! It is by far the best solder sucker I have ever tried and very easy to clean. I am throwing all the other plastic solder suckers I have away because they are terribly by comparison.

Greater than one weekSucks solder out great when youve just dang applied too much. I also have to admire just how well built it is... it just clicks so nicely and just seems like a really well designed tool.

Greater than one weekI have tried several of these handy little inventions, some good, some not so much. I was skeptical about paying a higher price for the Engineer SS-02, but finally decided to give it a try. I’m now upset that I waited so long to do so. This thing is fantastic!!! The heat resistant tip lets you get right up on your soldering iron and gets it all in one pop! I’ve been swapping out analog sensors in half the time!

> 3 dayIve used cheap desoldering pumps for years and years and they all eventually break down. I decided to spend a bit more this time and I was not disappointed: - the tool is of obvious quality. I dont know how long it will last, but definitely far longer than the cheap ones - the suction is noticeably better. thats the kicker, i didnt realize how much better and easier it would make my repairs Thats basically it. Get it. Its worth it.

> 3 dayThank God and the Meiji Emperor for Japanese products. Japan cares about its exports. Just feeling this solder sucker in the hand reminds you of what quality feels like next to cheap, stolen intellectual property. Support workmanship.

> 3 dayExcellent product. Well made, easy to arm and activate with one hand. The silicone tube tip conforms to the connection, increasing the suction effectiveness. Easy to disassemble and clean when the time comes. This replaced one of those cheap plastic models twice its size, and works 100x better! Highly recommended.
