> 24 hourThis projector is Epsons mid level Pro UHD projector. Its a wonderful value for what you get. With 3000 lumens of brightness, 100,000:1 contrast ratio and horizontal and vertical lens shift. Its a great value for its price range.

> 24 hourWe installed it in the basement under a drop ceiling. Projected on a wall that I painted with projector paint. It is BRIGHT!!! .. I had to reduce the brightness when the room is darkened. But it works well even with some light. I combined it with Sony Sound amp and it is like a movie theater in the basement now. The image here is with all lights in the basement turned on. Awesome.

> 24 hourI have had many projectors over the years but let me say right now with all honesty Epsom has some of the best I have used in my lifetime. I have seen and installed some very high end units and this one shines in comparison to any I have seen. Install is straight forward, picture quality is amazing, plan out your setup ahead of time and it is super smooth. I set up a 130inch screen and hung the projector from the ceiling. The options are endless and even though I have used this for at least 40 hours already I have yet to explore everything this can do. I am very satisfied with this epson projector, and will happily reccomend it to anyone. This is cutting edge tech, ability to project 4k in itself is huge, then you think about the wireless technology, bluetooth connectivity, and the 3d availability, the list goes on and on. If you are in the market I strongly suggest you give this a look

> 24 hourThe screen from the beginning would not focus on all 4 corners. I have this ceiling mounted, and I suspect the lens is not designed to be mounted from the ceiling. If the text at the top of the screen was in focus, the text at the bottom would be slightly out of focus. This happened with 2 projectors (sent the first one back for a replacement). The replacement lasted 10 months. I will report back after I go through the warranty process with Epson. If that goes well, I might adjust my review positively. Customer service is important.

> 24 hourPros: Bright and performs well in a room with ambient light, has a sharp picture and great HDR controls Cons: Contrast is not optimal, lens adjustment and focus is manual and makes it extremely tedious to adjust a ceiling mounted projector, fan noise is a bit loud.

> 24 hourI did not know about this feature when I purchased this projector, but my favorite feature is the Anamorphic wide setting in the Aspect setting. My screen is 16:9 and I like filling the whole screen. Most movies now are 235-1 which have black bars on the top and bottom of my 16:9 screens. The Epson 3800 does a great job filling the entire screen using the Anamorphic Wide setting even in 4K. For me, the stretch is not that noticeable and it doesnt cut out the width like the zoom. I also think it works for 3D movies, but I havent tested it yet. The manual says this mode Displays images recorded at Cinema Scope size when you attach a commercially available anamorphic lens to the projector, however, you do not need to buy a anamorphic lens - it works as shipped. I will make the rest simple - If you want a great picture and are using your projector in your living room with moderate daylight, want to view 3D movies and dont care about perfect blacks, and want to fill 16:9 screen this is the projector for you. Finally, 3000 lumens make most viewing great using the Eco mode.

> 24 hourI mostly watch movies, youtube. I had a optoma hd28darbee that was great for games and pretty good for movies and then it failed. I tried one of the optoma laser projectors hz39hdr and the color was horrible way washed out. I looked out of the box and noticed just how good the picture was on the Epson 3800…. WOW incredible color, and detail. In fact it has the best image I have ever seen period!! Only drawbacks when switching inputs it can be slow and buggy so make sure if using a receiver with 4k hdmi switching, you have all the firmware updates done. Also games did look a bit better (sharper) with optoma however with some adjustments and just how good it looks with uhd4k movies I will except that. I mean it looks so good I stayed up to 2am just watching uhd4k content on youtube etc, amazing !!! Buy it you will love it!!!

> 24 hourThis Epson 3200 projector finds an excellent balance between price and performance. Of course, there are more expensive projectors with more features and better contrast ratios, but this one is an excellent choice for most people who want to casually watch movies or play games in a family room or outside on summer nights. This is not a truly native 4K projector. It uses a technology called pixel shifting to effectively double the resolution of a 1080p LCD. If you have a 1080p video source, pixel shifting will make the image just a little sharper, but the beauty of this projector is that it accepts a true 4K input which allows the pixel shifting technology to really shine. The picture quality and sharpness is amazing. When its in 4K mode with a 4K video source, it looks MUCH better than 1080p. Its not quite as good as a native 4K projector (which are still VERY expensive), but its surprisingly close to it. Contrast is pretty good in the proper conditions (a dark room), but suffers a bit if theres ambient light in the room. Youll have to pay more if you want a 100,000:1 or even 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio to get good blacks with some ambient light. There are two HDMI inputs, both of which support 4K HDR at 60fps, with full 10-bit HDR. Audio out is only a stereo mini jack, so if you want to play movies through your surround sound system youll have to take the audio from the source into your stereo, and just feed video to this projector. With some video players this may not be an option, so to solve this problem there are inexpensive HDMI audio splitters available on Amazon if you want to go this route. Just search for HDMI audio extractor. The projector is 3D capable but I dont have any 3D glasses so I cant rate how that works. It seems like 3D isnt being supported much these days, but if you have a 3D library and a set of glasses, its great that you can get some life out of them with this projector. The only downside to this projector is that the fan is pretty loud when the lamp is on full brightness. You wouldnt want to be sitting right next to it while watching a movie because the fan noise would be distracting. You can use ECO mode which reduces the brightness and reduces the fan noise if that suits your setup better. ECO mode reduces the power consumption from 386W to 291W, and also has the benefit of extending your lamp life from 3500 hours to 5000 hours. A replacement lamp (part V13H010L85) can be purchased for about $110, which is pretty reasonable. You can replace the lamp yourself fairly easily. The product manual explains how to do it step by step. Overall, this is an excellent quality projector from EPSON and youd be hard pressed to find a better image quality at this price point. The pixel shifting technology gives you about 80-90% of the quality of a true native 4K projector at a much more budget friendly price.
