> 3 dayUnit was well packaged and no damage to the shipping box. When I set it up the focus ring would not turn to adjust the focus. The zoom ring turned fine and zoomed in and out. Shifting the image up and down and side to side with the turn knobs worked. I called Epson tech support and got someone right away. They talked with me a few munities and said it was a hardware issue and return it.

> 3 dayBack in the 1990s and 2000s I had several Epson projectors and generally they were refurbished units. They all performed very well and I could see no difference in quality from a new unit. This year I have tried two Epson products, the LS300 ultra short throw and this unit the Home Cinema 3800 and both were refurbished and both had issues and were defective. The 3800 has bad and crackling speakers and when they did so, it would cause the image to flicker. Also the video playback would randomly shut off by itself and the unit would power down. Also the remote would not power down the unit. In order to turn it off, you had to turn it off at the unit. Also the 4k image quality has not as expected. The black levels were not good. There were no blacks just light greys. Black levels were far better on SD but still not great. 4k playback looked very good in bright scenes and dismal in dark scenes. This was actually the same with the LS300 which had an alleged contrast ratio or 1000,000:1 but it looked more like 5000:1. Maybe this was due to the units being refurbished but possible Epson is simply not what it used to be.

> 3 dayI bought a brand new item, but the one delivered is refurbished. Its in the original box, but out of the original internal wrapping. Instruction manual missing, batteries missing, projector itself has signs of wear, plus hair and dust everywere. Also image is all blurry. So item is defective.

> 3 dayHeavy (compare with Optoma UHD-50X), I dont feel very comfortable sitting under it. Kind of noisy (compare with Optoma UHD-50X) Picture is sharp in the middle but blurry on the sides. The BIGGEST problem is, it doesnt work with the 50ft HDMI 2.0 cable I laid behind the wall and ceiling! I tried many different computers and a SONY Blu-ray disk player, NO SIGNAL! It only worked with a Acer Laptop computer. VERY FRUSTRATED! Finally, I got the Optoma UHD-50X, it worked right the way! And the Optoma is so much lighter, quieter, image is sharp everywhere! I can finally relaxed and enjoyed the big screen. Compare with the UHD-50X, This projector looks better, and the quick corner function is so much easier to adjust the screen.

> 3 dayI ended up using a wireless HDMI cable. Wi-Fi connection requires a separate device and seems complicated. Otherwise it’s a great projector.

> 3 dayI started using a projector full time recently. My original one was inexpensive, but it was pretty good. I decided to upgrade to get one with more brightness. I wasn’t disappointed with my decision. It works great. I can even watch it with all my lights on in the room. Also, the remote works soooooo much better than the previous one.

> 3 dayProduct worked fine, until it stopped working after four months of use. After a month of calls and e-mails to Epson, they refused to honor their warranty, claiming that DIGJUNGLE was a third party seller through Amazon, and that DIGJUNGLE was responsible for the warranty. I contacted DIGJUNGLE, and two and a half weeks later, they replied requesting the product serial number which I sent them. It has been two another weeks with no reply either from DIGJUNGLE or Amazon. I am stuck with an $1,800 projector that wont work and no further recourse. Am disappointed Amazon, DIGJUNGLE, and especially Epson.
