> 3 dayLens shift, zoom and focus make this projector easier to install than most. You dont have to mount it dead center of the screen, You just get it close and then adjust the image to fit. Image quality is outstanding as is brightness. At 20lb. it is a bit heavy so take this into account when mounting it.

> 3 dayThis isnt the flagship Epson project but for the price I think it is an excellent value and hits a sweet spot balance of price and performance. The projector isnt as large as some of the other higher end models which I find is a plus. It is easier to mount and isnt as visible in a smaller room. The 4K picture is not quite the best 4K experience Ive seen but it is very close and considering the price it is good enough for me. It is bright even in rooms with lots of windows. I really like the colors. Very vivid if you like it that way. Relatively quiet I find it does produce a good amount of heat like most projectors do. I can heat up a smaller room so be sure there is plenty of ventilation. 5 stars.

08-06-2025The projector says “No Signal” from HDMI even though there is an incoming signal and the cable has been tested and works as expected. I’ve tested the other components in the AVR system and the projector is component that’s failing. I hope Epson or Amazon will send a replacement.

> 3 dayThis is my first projector, and so far Ive been pretty pleased with it. Set up for me has been tedious, but only because my home layout isnt conducive for projector use. Right now I have to have a temporary set up for use and then put everything away when done. Set up was fairly simple. Some minor adjustments were needed to fit the space I was using. The projector made short work of it and looked fantastic even on a makeshift screen. I am currently pairing this with an Xbox One X with its stellar 4k playback and excellent gaming library. Movies are amazing, from older films that have been rereleases on 4k to the latest releases like Avengers. Gaming was so so. Im used to gaming on a small monitor and found myself drawn away from what I should be doing in game because I was too busy looking at everything else. I will probably refrain from gaming further as I would like to try and extend bulb life as long as I can. Replacement bulbs are fairly inexpensive and seem to have a pretty decent life to them. Image quality seems to be pretty great too in low ambient light situations as well, however I have been going as far as I can to make it as dark as I can but thats just me. Overall I am pleased with the projector but wish I could give it a dedicated home.

Greater than one weekPurchased this projector To replace an older JVC model. Projector throw and keystone Our video room has a 106” diagonal screen and the dimensions required a projector with a 16ft throw. This projector advertised a 2.14 throw ratio and performed as expected for our application (16ft distance to screen) Very good screen brightness is achieved (outperforming the replaced JVC) using standard brightness setting The keystone adjustment is easy to use and allows picture to screen alignment with no visible distortion.( ideally projector needs to be positioned to minimize keystone adjustment Manual focus and zoom setting is easy to set and appears to stay on adjustment. However, remote set-up for focus, zoom and keystone Would be and outstanding addition to this projector. Noise level is noticeable acceptable in our application Overall picture quality is excellent at 1080p, not yet tested at 4K. Great value for the price.

> 3 dayI almost didn’t pick up this projector due to repeated concerns about focus uniformity. I’ve had no issue whatsoever with this. I think it may be because I didn’t require a ton of vertical or horizontal lens shift though I did use it. This picture is bright enough to be serviceable in a room with three windows during the day and when the lights go out it’s truly special. The contrast is truly phenomenal. Does it have OLED blacks? No. But I’ve got a 100” image and it’s a more beautiful picture than any modern tv I have in my home. I’d be shocked if you could find anything better for a similar use case for $1500 refurbished (what I paid.) If you don’t want to pay $3000 this is a great projector for you.

> 3 dayIf the higher end versions are priced out of range for you, this 3800 model might be in your wheel house. If you are looking for a better than average 4K TV, this is probably the area you want to look. The picture quality is superb. Very impressive for a projector. What I like most about it is the versatility in its projection size. So no matter what room size you are sitting in, this Epson 4K projector will accommodate the size needed, whether on a wall or a screen. It is 3D capable, but you need to buy the accessories to accommodate it, but it can handle displaying. There are various audio inputs to use for sound bars or speakers to maximize the theater experience. While the unit is pretty big, its not improbably to move it around with careful handling for certain occasions, such as an outdoor viewing. There are a lot of features within to tune it to your home environment and displays well even in the daytime. Overall, if the other projectors are a little too much, I would go for this one as you will find the quality very comparable and worthy of show-off rights.

Greater than one weekSorry amazons, I am not really a person into the details of the projector for I my main purpose is to watch movies and sports. One good feature that I like is the Bluetooth. I have an old Denon Amplifier and did not want to run a cable by cutting thru the dry wall and all that pain so I purchased this Bluetooth receive and connected in a seconds. I tested the audio for a lag and personally I did not see any lag. The BT receiver is about 20ft from the projector and see no breaks in voice for now. My main purpose of writing the review is that I searched for BT devices that support the Eposn 3800 aptX Bluetooth technology and found no answers only to find this device and had it shipped overnight for a small fee. Dang it connected and proved compatible. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078J3GTRK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
