This camera was easy to set up and add to our existing base station. We previously had a Eufy doorbell camera, which also works great.

I love the 2k resolution. The only limitation comes from the app not the camera. The app needs polygon motion detection zones that the user can customize the motion zone. Squares and rectangles don’t work in most situations. Most FOV need rhombus or trapezoid to cover the motion zone most efficiently. A UI that allow you to move the corners of the motion zone versus only allowing resizing of square, will fix this.

I’ve had this thing for a little over a month and a half, and the battery life remaining sine installation, I’ve estimated, will reach close to the 6 month mark as advertised. Very pleased.

I have been using eufyCam 2C Pro for about 2 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the peace of mind that this security system has brought to me. I highly recommend eufyCam products to all who desire security for their family and home.

Not told you need a bridge to connect the 2 cameras

I was loving my system until they took it to upon their selves to improve the software. They removed the ability to take your finger hold to select. Now you to use a button at the top, BUT after you do you have exit the program to use it again. I have 12 cameras, I do this ALLOT. IM VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS.

The Eufy cameras are super easy to set up and install. The settings are very customizable so you can get as many or as few notifications as you want. My house is set close to the road and the “people detection” feature is great at not alarming over a passing car. Although it does occasionally alarm when a pedestrian is walking by. My house is about 10 feet from the sidewalk though so I think that would happen with any security system and I can snooze the camera notifications if they’re becoming bothersome. The home security system is also great. The window/door sensors are easy to set up and do the job they’re intended for. I just ordered more cameras and a doorbell and have full confidence they’ll work great too. Also the app is user friendly and can be used with a screen reader for the blind or visually impaired! My wife is blind and loves being able to talk to people through the cameras using the app on her phone.

Eufy security cameras are super easy to setup (a few minutes each) and rapidly provided perimeter surveillance when dealing with some illegal activities in the neighborhood. Id had a hunch that more was happening in the middle of the night than I was fully aware of. After installed a set of cameras I discovered within a week that my neighbor was using drugs, prowling cars and menacing things at night, to an extent that it required police attention. The presence of the cameras now serve as a deterrent the neighbor who has been put on notice by the police, while providing a trust but verify level of security. The Eufy security scandal came to light right after my purchase. So I was tempted to return them and choose a different brand. Eufy were caught red-handed with personal data on their servers that was visible by third parties when they claimed no personal data was uploaded. Supposedly this bug (or feature?) has been updated. I am always wary of Chinese software companies and am aware that they may be slurping up more data than they should. But the immediate illegal activity in the neighborhood that was discovered at the time outweighed the chance Eufy might be installing spyware code in their app and reporting to Beijing. So I clicked OK on the EULA, with some reservations. I have found the security system to be stellar, notifying me of questionable activities even when Im hundreds of miles away. I like being able to check on things remotely. I have 4 cameras installed (including the doorbell) and the system gives me total surveillance of the premises and the car. I can even see how much snow has fallen to know whether Ill need to shovel or not. Of note, the base station is updated remotely and automatically by the Mothership. Being pretty tech savvy, Im aware that while your personal video data is stored on the local unit, it seems the base station software can be accessed by the Mothership via wifi. If software can be updated remotely at will by Mother, then it seems logical to conclude that anything on the base station would also be accessible by the Mothership since it would have to have root access to this appliance to make the updates. While Eufy claims your data is private, there is no way to verify this with 100% with regard to Eufy. So beware. I would recommend with one caveat, assume the actual privacy of your surveillance videos may be limited and Eufys claims cannot be readily verified.
