Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

Do not get the small one for leopard geckos. I got the small one and at first my leopard gecko went to hide in it. Now he don’t even look at it. I kept it in the tank for looks. I know if I got the medium size it would of been perfect.

My little gecko likes his humid hide. It took him a few days before he went inside, but now he’s sitting in there looking happy. It’s easy to open the top and looks super natural in my tank.

Ive been using this for a few weeks now as a moist hide and its the best. Its pretty big so if you have a 12 wide tank its going to take up a big chunk and I would advise you to get the medium. I honestly might get the medium myself to save some surface area of the tank. Nevertheless this is a great product made by a great company.

This gecko cave is awesome!!! Leopard gecko loves it and spends a lot of time in there. The cool thing is that you are able to lift the lid off for cleaning and can also put some sand or some type of substrate in it or if you just want to check on your gecko. It fit perfectly in 20 gallon long tank. Our gecko is young but it will definitely be fine for adult gecko, which we also have. It’s made very well and durable and easy to clean. I would definitely purchase again and definitely highly recommend.

Very nice hide, but the medium was too small for my leopard gecko. I think he may be considered a giant; he is 10 inches long and not quite a year old. He was interested, but apparently thought the hole was too small to crawl through (which it probably was), so I am returning and exchanging for a large. The resin this is made out of seems like it will conduct heat from a heat mat quite well, so I am looking forward to seeing how my boy likes the large one as a moist hide!

I love it as a Moist hide for my Leo. She definitely uses it when she need it. Keeps it moist and contained so not all over your tank. Only thing I don’t like is if I grab it with her in it. Worries me if I could catch her toes or maybe break them. I just take the top off first then her then the bottom I will need a bigger one once she reaches full size.

When I initially ordered this cave they didnt have large in stock so I got the medium, despite most of the reviews saying that a large is better for an adult leopard gecko. When it arrived I thought there was no way my adult male would fit in there but decided to give it a try anyways. But what do you know, I found him snoozing in there this morning and he seems quite comfortable. And the paper towels stayed moist all night. If your gecko doesnt like smaller hides get the large, but otherwise you can save the $20+ and just get the medium. They will fit!! Its very roomy on the inside because of its domed ceiling. Its a very nice material and comes in two pieces so its easy to clean and refresh whatever substrate you put in there.

My Leopard Gecko loves this cave! Its his favorite place to sleep during the day because its cool and dark. The opening is a little bit small, but he doesnt have to squeeze or anything. Its perfect in my 10 gallon.

I use this for my adult male leopard geckos humid hide. I like that it opens, making it easy to spray down. My gecko spends a lot of time in this hide and seems to feel very secure in it. He also likes to climb on it, but the surface is slick so he slides a bit when he climbs it. It also looks good with my naturalistic-esque terrarium decorations. Overall, Im very happy with it.
