Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

My leopard gecko loves this and spends most of his time in this hide. His last humid hide was a little too small for him and had a heavy lid that I was afraid I might drop. This one is good because I can tell he’s in it without having to open it and he has room to turn around or lay a little more spread out if he wants.

My leo wasn’t exactly excited to venture into this new cave. Though once I showed him the entrance and that he can go into it, he was somewhat okay with it. A little snug when filled with sphagnum moss. Honestly I would have gotten a size up if they had any due to the snug fit. (Don’t worry, he’s not on sand).

No sharp edges, smooth on the inside and I’d say it looks the same if not better than in photos. Size large is ideal for adult leopard geckos, mine seems to like it

i have an adult leopard gecko and he loves it. we use it as a humid hide, and he’s always in there. have had 0 issues with shedding. very thick and sturdy and he fits in the medium size with a little room leftover.

Love it! Fit perfectly in my Leo’s tank right where my homemade hide was. I got the medium for my 9 month old leopard gecko. I agree with others that the hole should be bigger, but it’s nice and roomy inside. Looks great and has nice weight to it. I just wish it didn’t have holes punched through it just for the packaging, but easily patched up many ways. Will order the next size up if he outgrows this one.

Perfect hide for our Leopard Gecko, great quality and even heavier and larger than expected. Outer design is smooth and looks nice-a problem we’ve had with other hides we’ve ordered. Info: We use this as a wet hide for our young Leopard Gecko. Because it includes the bottom price it’s perfect for keeping moist paper towels for him and he prefers this as a hot hide. This hide will fit him for a very long time, but reptiles that will get larger than 8–10 inches would probably need larger sizes.

According to the product description, the medium sized Gecko Cave is for smaller species, and leopard geckos need the large size. So, I bought this to use as a moist hide in one of my juvenile leopard gecko tanks. However, I found that it was actually a bit too big! So instead I put it in my adult leopard geckos cage and its the perfect size for him. Hes 9 inches long too! Id only suggest getting the large Gecko Cave if you have a giant breed. For a regular adult its fine! Also, it looks nice and seems durable . However, I wish the bottom part had deeper sides to hold more moist substrate inside.

Small: Use for hatchling leopard/fat-tailed geckos (they will outgrow these extremely fast, so many not be worth the investment). Medium: Use for juvie leopard/fat-tailed geckos or adults (there are some that are simply too big to squeeze into the hole). Large: Use for adult leopard/fat-tailed geckos (generally big enough to house 2 adults comfortably). These make wonderful dry or humid hides. Comes with top and bottom pieces. Ive received some that dont fit perfectly with each other. Amazon is pretty generous with accepting returns so you can order another which will hopefully have a more snug fit. Only issue I have with these are the tiny holes on the sides that may let in a small amount of light. Very easy to wash, this will be one of the best hides you can find for sell on Amazon!

My Leopard Gecko loves this cave! Its his favorite place to sleep during the day because its cool and dark. The opening is a little bit small, but he doesnt have to squeeze or anything. Its perfect in my 10 gallon.
