Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

My Leo loves it. The fact you can pull the top right off makes it stupidly easy to clean and get my lizard out. Packaging was good, it feels pretty sturdy, and the material itself doesn’t naturally get cold like most rock hides. It tend to stay room temp which is good for having a hot hide. Good stuff overall, wouldn’t recommend it for any lizards over a foot though cause the hole to enter is rather small but inside, it’s actually rather spacious. That’s good news for my lizard’s comfort

I bought this for one of my male leopard gecko and he loves it! Hes only 6 months old so hes not fully grown so its a little big for him now but itll be perfect when hes full grown. Very sturdy, I use as a wet hide for him keep humidity for longer the other hides in the past!

This hide was a lot smaller on the inside than expected. The plate on the bottom has ridges that take up space on the inside, so the outer dimensions are not a great indication of the size. My juvenile leopard gecko fits in here just barely. Otherwise, it is great as a humid hide because it retains humidity and theres no mess.

My leopard gecko loves this enclosure, sadly the closure was shipped with a crack in the base. It was either cracked before or during shipment. Good product, bad delivery of it. I would give it four stars but for the crack.

Ive been using this for a few weeks now as a moist hide and its the best. Its pretty big so if you have a 12 wide tank its going to take up a big chunk and I would advise you to get the medium. I honestly might get the medium myself to save some surface area of the tank. Nevertheless this is a great product made by a great company.

My two juvenile leopard geckos fit inside the large size with plenty of room to grow. I am using it as a moist hide, with moss in the bottom. The top helps keep humidity in, and provides the security & comfort. The inside bottom piece is shallow with a lip all the way around that can hold a small amount of water, I use it this way so that the moss stays damp while they are shedding. The outside bottom is curved and for the most part prevents crickets from climbing in. The only negatives were that it is not tan, but more of a strange olive-brown color. It doesnt match my desert decor very well. It is odd shaped & doesnt really fit against the wall or in the corner, so its just awkwardly placed in the tank. Overall, it serves the intended purpose well, so that earns some stars, but loses two stars in my personal opinion due to the color/appearance/design. This would look fine in a woodland set up, or if you really dont care what it looks like. It is a solid piece and a good purchase. My geckos seem to enjoy it and the privacy it gives.

Our leopard gecko loves this as her moist hide. It’s easy to clean. I’d recommend this to anyone who is looking for a quality product. I did a lot of research on this type of hide and was pleased with this choice.

Looks great but had absolutely no bubble wrap and it was loose. Lucky it wasnt broken. 4 stars for the crappy packing.
