I have a 40 gallon breeder tank with sliding lid. The lid got damaged so we ordered this one and it fits good! Easy to open and you dont have to move the heat lamps.

Have 3 Cats who like to sit on top of the turtle enclosure. The old screen broke quickly and repairs were not feasible. I bought this, and it holds tight! Fits easily on top. Opens on either side for easy feeding/cleaning. Best of all it holds the cats! My cats are about 10 lbs each, but I have seen 2 of them up there at a time, with no tears or breaks yet! (I hope I did not just jinx it). Great product for my Red Slider and Cats!!!

Fits my tank perfectly and its great that you can just flip it open. makes feeding time for my turtle so much easier.

Definitely not made to fit a 40 gallon breeder; its way too loose and slides in every direction, which would make it easy for even a small snake to lift. Needs 4-6 heavy duty clips or straps to remain in place. I do like the hinge though; we upgraded from a small citter cage with a sliding lid to a 40 as an adult cage, the hinge makes it easier to access the cage without having to be set aside elsewhere.

Bought this for my Ball Pythons 40 gallon breeder and it is fabulous, the hinges work great and overall is a good product. I recommend getting something to hold the lid down, but thats all
