It works great but I prefer the one that has the hinge in the middle and it raises up in the front and back of the screen.

This lid is PERFECT!

This was a lid for a 36x18 tank for my pet mice. It fits the tank top as expected and is study enough that when one my cats decides to try and catch the mice from on top it holds up.

Definitely not made to fit a 40 gallon breeder; its way too loose and slides in every direction, which would make it easy for even a small snake to lift. Needs 4-6 heavy duty clips or straps to remain in place. I do like the hinge though; we upgraded from a small citter cage with a sliding lid to a 40 as an adult cage, the hinge makes it easier to access the cage without having to be set aside elsewhere.

Perfect fit for our 40 gallon bearded dragon tank. It came as a big kit so when our cat busted the screen out of the top, we were worried that we wouldnt find a new top. So glad we find this one!

They dont make this abundantly clear in the description, but this kid is NOT FOR STANDARD TANKS. It is for breeders tanks.

Fits my tank perfectly and its great that you can just flip it open. makes feeding time for my turtle so much easier.
