> 3 dayI use this to waterproof coax on radio installations. I have also used it to repair leaks under the hood and attach things where I do not want a sticky mess. It is heat resistant and water proof. It has its limitations, it does not stick to anything else. It must be clean and dry or it will not stick, dust and grease will not allow it to bond. It only sticks to itself and when it does it bonds into a solid mass that can not be separated. Repairing things like garden hoses does not seem to work as the tape will not stick to the hose and will allow water to leak past the tape and the hose. Hoses are better repaired by cutting and coupling anyway. It will not repair everything. If you have an application that can be repaired by wrapping the tape around it, this is for you. Otherwise some other kind of tape is what you are looking for. This seems to be the best buy at the moment.

> 3 dayThis tape is quite simple amazing. Its excellent for wires, pipes, hoses, etc. Pretty much anything with a relatively rigid backing can use this tape. Pros: - STRONG! Works VERY well for the advertised uses. - Does not leave a residue when removed. - colors allow for color-coding items. Cons: - It really does need to stick to itself - so its not good for applications that require a strip of tape. - Because it needs to stick to itself, it does not lend itself to small (as in tiny) projects. They can be done, however it is a challenge. Overall great for electrical work, plumbing, other uses where you can wrap it around. MAKE SURE YOU STRETCH IT before use - otherwise it wont stick properly. Hope that helps.

Greater than one weekI used about 5 feet of tape in trying to stop the leaking of a garden hose coupling. The water finds its way out of the tape, no matter what I do. From this experience I have to give this tape a negative rating. If the manufacturer can suggest a way to wrap the tape differently from its enclosed instructions, I would be happy to try it. If the method worked, I would be happy to give the tape a more favorable review.

> 3 dayIve temporarily fixed an air hose (120+ psi), used as a grip on a slick handle, plastic water pipe (make sure its COMPLETELY dry though), and am still amazed how this stuff works! You should throw a roll in your tool box, just in case!!

Greater than one weekMy dad purchased this tape for me over a year ago, and we ended up not using it for the water heater leak (soldered that issue). It sat in our garage for a year, through high humidity and 99 degree heat and below freezing temperatures sporting 35% humidity and less. Over time, I forgot about it. Fast forward to 11:30pm last night, the night before we were scheduled to host a Thanksgiving feast with two other families: my husband and I discovered a pretty significant leak in the P-trap of our kitchen sink drain--you know, the one that EVERYTHING drains into (garbage disposal, dishwasher gunk, and dual sink). There was water all over the base cabinet, on the floor, everywhere. We cleaned up, looked for a spare P-trap lying around in the garage and basement... no luck. Then I thought of the tape and, after digging out the sorry looking roll (no longer in its box) and watching a couple of YouTube instructional videos, asked my dear husband to crawl into the damp, stinky cabinet and tape up the leak. To be honest, I had VERY low expectations. Im a by the book kind of gal, and taping up a plumbing leak was, in my estimation, akin to plugging a tire leak with bubble gum. I cleaned the pipe with rubbing alcohol and my husband dutifully wrapped the pipe with plenty of tape--and he made sure it was tightly wrapped (thank you, previous reviewers for this tip!!!) A few seconds after the pipe was taped, I turned on the hot water to wash the mountain of dirty dishes that had accumulated throughout the day. No leak. Thirty minutes later, when the pots and pans were cleaned and dishes loaded into the dishwasher, no leak. I turned the dishwasher on and prayed fervently that the tape would hold. Prayers were answered. This morning, I emptied my dishwasher, cooked/baked nonstop, set the dishwasher again at 2pm, washed more dishes, enjoyed the Thanksgiving bounty, washed more dishes, and loaded up the dishwasher 2 hours ago. NO LEAK. This stuff is fantastic. We will definitely replace the P-trap ASAP--but after the workout weve given the tape thus far, I am confident it will hold for the next week (at least). I cannot imagine what the past 24 hours would have been like if my dad hadnt left the FixIt tape here. I will definitely buy more when this roll runs out.
