Fix It Tape is awesome as advertised. It has no adhesive on it, but it sticks to itself magnificently. Saved us big time with a leaky hose in the middle of the desert.

The tape did not work to repair a split in my shower floor. It did not adhere to the floor base like the commercial showed so that water would not leak through. I will be returning this product.

Recently a plumbing line leaked which the plumber said was hard to fix. He realised that a tape had been used to fix the previous leak. My husband explained how he used a specific tape 6 years ago. We searched our local stores which werent aware of such a product. As always, I looked up on Amazon. There it was. I used it on my hairband as soon as it arrived. Wow! It sealed the edges permanently. Cant wait for a plumbing leak to wrap one around. We have given a tape each to our closest friends.

I bought this tape due to having a leaky copper pipe that dripped water steadily into my dining room closet. I saw an ad on television for Mighty Fixit tape (being hawked loudly by the British guy); its amazing abilities being lauded quite voraciously. As my first introduction for this product was an As Seen on TV commercial, I was skeptical about its abilities to perform well. Color me surprised. This tape is absolutely wonderful. It only sticks to itself, and when it does, it is a solid bond. The tape is stretchy, too, so that you can securely wrap it around whichever surface you want. You may think that it only being able to stick to itself is counter-intuitive; this is definitely not the case. When stuck to itself, it is secure and water-tight, creating a seal that is better than nearly any standard tape on the market. Thus far we have used this tape to repair the leaky pipe (works like a charm!), wrapped it around an electrical cord that a certain kitten decided to gnaw upon, and also used it to create a rubbery grip on a crochet hook. Uses for this tape abound; use it to repair, create a comfort grip, even to render something waterproof. This stuff gives duct tape a run for its money. Even after only a few uses today, this product has earned a coveted spot within my toolbox. I will definitely buy more when I run out. Every household should have a few rolls of this on-hand; be creative and I am sure that you will find just as many uses as I have, if not more!

The only good thing I can say about this product is that it did bind to itself when I wrapped it around my leaking hose. However, when I turned the facet on it sprang leaks in three different places. My husband thought I was crazy to order it, and I had to admit he was right. Save your money folks...this stuff is a joke. Hopefully someday they will come up with something that can stand up to water pressure, but today isnt that day evidently. Totally disappointed and disgruntled!

The first one I got and tried looked initially good and easy to use, however the next day I found that the tape unraveled itself not sure if this may have expired shelf life of what, I tried another piece this time I wrapped electrical tape over the thing and this time it worked ok. Not what I expected. :(

My 1999 GMC Diesel GMC Suburban developed a leak; the part was no longer available. A friend manufactured a copper replacement however, since he didnt have the original part in hand at the time he was making the replacement, he didnt know how the end was designed. Turned out it was not manufactured large enough to fit into the water line and stop leaking. I finally convinced my mechanic an alternative would be to wrap the manufactured part with Rescue Tape to create a tight bond. My mechanic reluctantly used it since he didnt have any other option; more than two years later, the tape is still holding and there has been no more leak. I keep it in my RV now for any sudden emergency which might develop on the road.

Not very strong, tears super easy. Used it to wrap a handle and the 1st time it rubbed against something it tore. Im sure theres uses for it... but dont expect anything spectacular.
