I ordered this fan 2 weeks ago and I am so pleased with its performance. I live in South Florida and wanted a fan for the back patio since it can get very warm with stagnant air flow. The first time I used it, it turned my patio into an enjoyable summer hang out. On high, it works for almost 6 hours. When I turned it down, I was out all day and it did not reach the end of the charge. I like that the fan level is variable, not just on and off, I cant say how long it takes to recharge because I plug it in and walk away. I also like that it will run when it is plugged into the wall, while it is charging. Thats a nice added feature because I have a blue too speaker that will not play while charging - annoying. There is not a negative thing I can say about this fan!

Id give it 6 stars if I could. Got the 12 metal one for sitting on the patio and camping in the heat--now Ive been using it indoors when I work out, come in from the heat, or my wife just turns the thermostat too high--not having to plug it in makes it very convenient. It blows a lot of air for one person from up to about 4 away; the cone is too focus to really hit multiple people unless they are very close together. On highest, moving that much air isnt going to be silent indoors, but its as quiet as any 12 fan Ive heard and not enough to be annoying. Battery life is excellent. Ive run it for at least 6 hours on the highest setting and still had over 20% charge. Build quality is excellent--its nearly entirely metal (including the grill and legs, not just the blade), who makes things out of metal anymore? Its even held together by Philips screws, not rivets or glue.

Ive owned this unit for 2 years. Ive charged it fully and drained it fully about 20 times. Ive always left the battery at full charge when not in use . Recently I went to charge the unit from being flat after it only been flat for a day and the unit will no longer turn on or charge. Now it is a $90 paperweight. The unit is built out of metal which allowed it to push plenty of air. While it was working the only complaint I had was that moving the position of the fan in relation to the stand would sometimes cause the holding bolts to disconnect. At full power the fan would last about 3 hours. At half power about 8 hours, and it 30% power it would last a full 24 hours as advertised. I figured that once the battery failed to charge I could still use this fan as a plug-in. I was wrong. I think Ill take it apart and see what makes it tick, now it is no longer working.

Received the fan and plugged it in to be fully charged. Since it came almost completely charged it did not take long before I could use it in the screen house. I love sitting out there but am limited by heat and mosquitoes! The fan not only cooled me down so I could read out there it also gave the little buzzers an obstacles to get to me. Also wanted to have a non electric fan for when the frequent power outages occur and to use in the work area of the barn where there is no door or window. Was able to read for 4 hours!! Still had some power left, but I plugged it back in to charge and went inside for a bit. The last storm that hit, I had the fan by me just in case lost power, but did not need it. Was very glad I had the option! May have to get a bigger one too!

Excellent for use during power outages in Florida where we need fans when the air conditioner is not working. This fan is powerful enough to provide relief from the heat and runs a long time on a full charge. My neighbor bought it first, and after seeing hers, I ordered one for myself. Very pleased!

Even sold our neighbors on it and they bought one from Amazon just like it. Quiet, strong and rechargeable...Cant go wrong with this fan.

Arrived and looked like a quality product. Charged it, and tested it for about a 7 hour period at different speeds. Its really quite powerful. Still had plenty time left on it to keep on going. FOR MY USE: Its so easy to move around, and not need to plug into inverter when electric goes down. Pretty much will use for hurricane down time. Will work it into planned use together with inverter system (running other fans) or for short term appliance run times, etc. Thats using a Jackery 500 (Excellent Product), and an older XPower 1500 inverter . That use of the Geek is in the interim from electric out to generator power after storm. Have three Honda 2000, and they go to work after storm passes. That can be from 7 to 15 hours or more. I mention the Honda Generator, because you can then recharge the Geek too with generator. So, Ill use this fan at least every 3 to 4 months if only to cycle battery and recharge to keep it healthy and ready. For general use, would work well in patio area, or any other warm spots that need air flow when needed. I think it makes for an excellent mobile battery fan. Deserving of 5 stars.

I Brought this on a 5 week, 8500 mile cross country road trip where every night or other night was in a different hotel. Having a portable fan in my face at night is helpful for sleep, and this thing really did the job. On a medium speed setting the battery always lasted the entire night, and the 12” size was perfect for setting up anywhere. The housing construction is solid, this is not a piece of crap. Looking forward to using it outside next Spring to help keeps the bugs away.

I was so thankful to have this fan during Hurricane Ian and we lost power. It kept the air in the room circulating while the storm raged. We had it fully charged and it kept us cool until we were able to get the generator running. Very thankful for this fan.

I like this fan, because it is portable and it is battery operated and it worked very well for the very few times that I used it. However, one evening I needed it to keep Cool and I asked my son to go and get it and he said it up and turned it on. I left and forgot that it was on and by the time I got back the next day the battery was dead I have checked the power supply with my VOM and it is putting out the proper voltage. I plug it up to the fan and it will not charge or do anything and I have left it on for two days. There are no power indicators that it is charging other than sometimes the display light will come on the first position, but never provide any charging or power to the fan , I asked Geek Aire to replace it under warranty. Since this is sort of my line of work, I provided them with everything they needed upfront. However, they sent back wanting it put on the form. I took the information that I sent them that was all complete and transcribed it over to the form. It was sent in and I had already provided them all the details of what was wrong they wanted to know again and they wanted pictures. I provided them with everything they asked for an electronics technician. There’s electronic failure with inside the box. The power supply is good. I did not open it up as not to void warranty . Finally, after playing the game of paperwork they finally approved it for replacement. I have been literally waiting several months now for a replacement rather than just send me a new fan which they should do since this one is in pristine condition they’re probably waiting for a refurbished to come back in to send to me After constantly asking them, like most companies do these days they generate a tracking number, which is about as good as a three dollar bill. That doesn’t generate any. Hope it doesn’t make me feel like it’s coming tomorrow. I’m wise to this and so should you if you’re reading this because all of these companies are doing it, eBay, etc. that tracking number hasn’t moved in inch in over a month . It just says that the United States Postal Service is awaiting delivery. It doesn’t calm me down it makes me more upset. I will say that the geek aire team has been good about responding to me and promising me that the warehouse is going to do something soon. They just tell me to be patient and that would be OK if we were talking about a few weeks here but we’re talking at least three months now since the fan went out, I’m tired of waiting ! When the fan works it works beautifully and is very nice so I give them credit. I’m just not happy with how well replacement is. I have to get my replacement fan soon. I trust that they will. It’s just taking too long. Obviously they know that they have new ones in stock that they could send. However, I suppose if they have more fans going out than we are aware of and depleting their selling stock, well, I could see that catastrophe too. Come on geek aire and do something.. Update: they ended up telling me that they cannot replace the fan, but they would provide a refund. When I inquired when that would happen, all communications ceased very disappointing.
