> 3 dayI rec’d this yesterday and immediately read all the instructions since some users were having a few problems. Without turning it on, I plugged it in and it showed 60% battery. Fig. it would take abt. an hr. to FULLY charge the battery since it had more than 1/2 charge. It was fully charged after abt. an hr. (I didn’t time this, it’s purely an estimate.) I have taken pics to show the battery indicator when I rec’d it, when it’s fully charged (no lights are on), and when it’s running. I like that you have the choice of either using it plugged in OR on the battery. I will say that the directions tell you NOT to leave it plugged in to charge the battery longer than 24 hrs.! (I’m thinking mb some ppl left their fans plugged in while not being used and essentially ruined their rechargeable battery!) I’m planning on unplugging my fan if I’m not using electrically and then only charging for a few hrs. until the battery is full. I like its weight and portability. Plan on using it all the time! I think you can tell I’m already a big “fan” of this product.

> 3 dayUPDATE: Its been almost 1.5 years, Ive used this a lot and now its dead. I plugged it in last night and nothing. If this wasnt almost $100 I wouldnt be too upset that it only lasted that long. But for that price I would have hoped to have this for much longer. It worked great when it worked but now its a big paper weight. I ordered this to initially use when camping. I use it all the time! Its convenient to take outside when in your yard on a hot day, or to use at night for a breeze and some white noise. The fan isnt really doesnt produce a lot of noise and the charge does last quite a while. If you charge it and run it on high it will last 2 - 3 hours. On a lower speed you are looking at 8 or so hours. The only thing I dont like about it, and it could just be mine, is that when you charge the lights flash on top. At night those lights are bright. Then, when its fully charged, it doesnt stop flashing and just keep the 3 lights on...the last one flashes FOREVER. At first I thought it wasnt fully charging, but it is. It just likes to flash that 3rd light whenever its plugged in. However, with that being said I think this fan is incredible. I recommend it for anyone, like me, that gets hot no matter what time of year. Its a perfect size fan to really stay cool when youre hot.

> 3 dayI live in extreme South Texas where it gets quite hot and muggy! Recently we have had 3 severe storms that left thousands without power. That is no fun! So, I searched for a rechargeable battery fan that would have some power to it and that would actually put out some air! BINGO! This one is it! I quickly unpacked it so that I could plug it in and test the air power, to my surprise, it already had a partially charged battery! and YES! The fan lives up to the description in the Amazon site! The noise level is so low, you wont even know it is on. I am getting ready to buy another one, or two. Highly recommend!

19-11-2024Very easy to move and use. I like loud fan noise to block out other noises. Pretty quiet fun but runs on battery also so ideal if power failure

> 3 dayExcellent fan so far. Bought it for camping in mainland Mexico where the power often goes out at night in some of the more remote areas. It’s been excellent so far and runs at top speed through the night and into the next day easily if fully charged. We just used it in a 5 star lodge when their transformer blew just before dark. Great addition for over landing and remote camping in warm weather. I just bought another so we could also put one in the tent if we desire.

17-11-2024I go to a lot of music festivals where I end up camping in a field in the middle of summer. This thing is worth every penny. High output, low noise, long-lasting battery. When it arrived, I did a full charge and put it on the lowest setting. The battery lasted over 48 hours. I couldnt believe it. At mid to high settings, its great for relief from the midday sun. On the low setting, you can stay cool in your tent when the sun comes up in the morning.

> 3 dayWhy 4 stars? It’s not very powerful but works for me on my deck as a personal fan. Very quiet. Durable. Easy to move around and adjust. If you need a forceful breeze check out their larger models.

> 3 dayThe good news is this a beautiful looking, super-portable, long-lasting battery operated fan for indoor or outdoor use. The bad news is despite calling it a hurricane fan, its simply not that powerful compared to the Vornado model 723 which costs significantly less (but has to be plugged in to work). The really bad news is that the fan refuses to stay at the angle I adjust it to. It stays that way for a few minutes at most before going back to the angle it prefers. Iv e tried tightening the height control knobs, and they simply dont work right. The fan is otherwise decent, but not powerful enough to get you through heatwave with no A/C. I would not buy this fan again. Get a Vornado model 723. Now thats power, plus its built like a tank and stays where you aim it. If you are going camping, or to the beach, or just doing outdoor stuff anywhere, or youre in a summer time power outage, then this fan makes sense--especially since it doesnt have to be plugged in once its been charged. It puts out a pretty good amount of air for several hours, but because it wont stay where you aim it, that kind of defeats the purpose.

> 3 dayGreat little fan until the warranty runs out. Had two, and just over a year, after the warranty expired the batteries would no longer hold a charge. Cannot get replacement battery packs for these vacuums ! Paid over $100 and cannot get replacement batteries, what a scam !

> 3 dayI bought two 12-inch GeekAire portable fans (model: CF1SE) for indoor use (i.e., part of my hurricane supplies in case of power outage). The portability, fast recharging capability, silence, and ease of use of this model are all great, hence my five stars for the review. The battery duration is also good (about 11 hours next to my bed at mid-speed), but not outstanding. I wish that the manufacturer would increase the battery power (12000 mAh) so that the charge would last longer at a faster speed. The CF1 model offers a 15000 mAh battery, but the unit is $25 more expensive (the CF1SE model is not that cheap in the first place). I am not sure that the additional power would be worthy the additional cost. A more powerful battery would also mean longer recharging time, but I think that a 5-hour recharge time in return for 20000 mAh would still be a good trade-off to consider. I would also have liked the rotary switch to have markers in COLOR so that I could easily set up the fan for optimal speed in relation to duration. See photo--I taped a little mark. Obviously, these comments are more like suggestions for improvement to the manufacturer. Despite these minor weaknesses, I will keep the units, see how the fans perform over the years, and recommend this model to prospective buyers.
