> 3 dayI spent a LOT of time researching multiple portable fans. I bought this one for the weight, size, and overall product appearance. I read reviews on all fans from the construction site fans that dont come with batteries, etc... The only reason I dinged this one down to four stars was the first fan I received was making a noise like there was something in the motor rubbing. My wife made me think I was crazy because she didnt hear it. I turned on and off after a full charge and still heard the noise a couple of days later. Amazon returns took care of this however it would have been nicer to have a %100 working fan the first go around. I have not given this fan the FULL battery test but from what I read it can go anywhere from 6 to 8 hours on high. I am going to use this fan at BBQs and on my boat for those still, hot days when there is no wind at all. Also DID NOT see anything anywhere on replacement Batteries should the ones I have go bad...

21-11-2024I got this fan for the same reason anyone buys a fan. It does its job and it does it well. Pros: Decent battery life for the cfm at lower levels great portability easy to use and operate Cons: the caps that are supposed to help make the fan IXP4 water resistent Keep falling off during use Long Recharge time (though there is nothing the company can do about it) The Knobs that hold the fan in one place loosen over time or when you try and adjust it I work the dish tank at a restaurant And when the machine is running, the dish hose spraying, and the all the grills on it gets pretty hot. I got this fan so that i could put it wherever I want it with the batter, so it would be fine if some random bit of water got on it and so i could be cool at least most of the day. Good fan just dont expect miracles

> 3 dayI go to a lot of music festivals where I end up camping in a field in the middle of summer. This thing is worth every penny. High output, low noise, long-lasting battery. When it arrived, I did a full charge and put it on the lowest setting. The battery lasted over 48 hours. I couldnt believe it. At mid to high settings, its great for relief from the midday sun. On the low setting, you can stay cool in your tent when the sun comes up in the morning.

> 3 dayThese are great fans, at least while they work (which isnt long). After two years my fan wouldnt take a charge. I have contacted the company, I have searched the internet and I cant obtain a replacement battery pack. Unless you have a battery spot welder and have the skills to make a new battery pack (six 18650s), you are out of luck, and an otherwise good fan goes to the landfill.

Greater than one weekI ordered this fan and it was weaker at top speed than I expected. Checked the box said 1000 CFM, which is different from the 1250 CFM thats listed for CF3 10 fans in multiples places on Amazon, Home Depots website, New Eggs website, and other places. I contacted customer support and eventually acquired this handy table with the actual correct specs on all Geek Aire fans. To be clear, I think these fans are great. Its just important to know these real numbers - for some, fan speed is a higher priority than battery life, etc. My interactions with customer support were mostly positive. Had to order a different fan because of the incorrect specs issue but the quality of the CF3 fan was great and Im looking forward to getting the CF1 soon.

> 3 dayThis fan is such good quality, its insane. Its got to be in my top Amazon purchases of all time. I use it all the time and I still cant believe how big it is and how fast the speed is for the amount of battery it holds. Its portable, it cools you down, its not heavy, and its a whole-ass fan. I bring it to the beach and the pool, Ive even used it to dry off a spot on our mattress when one of the kids spilled water. Its so great to not have to plug it in. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayI have only used this fan a few times. Charged it the other day and it no longer works. Very disappointing!

> 3 dayI like this fan, because it is portable and it is battery operated and it worked very well for the very few times that I used it. However, one evening I needed it to keep Cool and I asked my son to go and get it and he said it up and turned it on. I left and forgot that it was on and by the time I got back the next day the battery was dead I have checked the power supply with my VOM and it is putting out the proper voltage. I plug it up to the fan and it will not charge or do anything and I have left it on for two days. There are no power indicators that it is charging other than sometimes the display light will come on the first position, but never provide any charging or power to the fan , I asked Geek Aire to replace it under warranty. Since this is sort of my line of work, I provided them with everything they needed upfront. However, they sent back wanting it put on the form. I took the information that I sent them that was all complete and transcribed it over to the form. It was sent in and I had already provided them all the details of what was wrong they wanted to know again and they wanted pictures. I provided them with everything they asked for an electronics technician. There’s electronic failure with inside the box. The power supply is good. I did not open it up as not to void warranty . Finally, after playing the game of paperwork they finally approved it for replacement. I have been literally waiting several months now for a replacement rather than just send me a new fan which they should do since this one is in pristine condition they’re probably waiting for a refurbished to come back in to send to me After constantly asking them, like most companies do these days they generate a tracking number, which is about as good as a three dollar bill. That doesn’t generate any. Hope it doesn’t make me feel like it’s coming tomorrow. I’m wise to this and so should you if you’re reading this because all of these companies are doing it, eBay, etc. that tracking number hasn’t moved in inch in over a month . It just says that the United States Postal Service is awaiting delivery. It doesn’t calm me down it makes me more upset. I will say that the geek aire team has been good about responding to me and promising me that the warehouse is going to do something soon. They just tell me to be patient and that would be OK if we were talking about a few weeks here but we’re talking at least three months now since the fan went out, I’m tired of waiting ! When the fan works it works beautifully and is very nice so I give them credit. I’m just not happy with how well replacement is. I have to get my replacement fan soon. I trust that they will. It’s just taking too long. Obviously they know that they have new ones in stock that they could send. However, I suppose if they have more fans going out than we are aware of and depleting their selling stock, well, I could see that catastrophe too. Come on geek aire and do something.. Update: they ended up telling me that they cannot replace the fan, but they would provide a refund. When I inquired when that would happen, all communications ceased very disappointing.
