If used as instructed the Neatsfoot oil softens leather quite well.

Used product on new leather rifle slings, made them supple and gave a nice brown color. 100% pure is important, because the non-pure oils can cause the stiching to rot or dissolve.

I got this neatsfoot oil to condition my boots and anything leather. I put it on my motorcycle jacket after reading other peoples reviews. I didnt really like the smell. I used another leather conditioner for my jacket instead. I would just use it for my boots as I wont smell it as bad down my my feet.

I am totally unhappy with the neatfoot oil. The oil smells like used french fry oil. I have experience with neat foot oil and it never smelled like what i received . it even had the taste of used oil.
