Fiebings Pure Neatsfoot Oil

It was a much smaller container than I expected it to be. Dont let the shape fool you. The oil is good though, quite yummy -- for boots.

I used this to treat some leather at the manufactures recommendation. Works well. Leather doesnt squeak anymore.

Bought this for conditioning leather strops, for tuning straight razor blades before shaving...Ive probably gone through half of it in 3 + years, but Ive experimented with half a dozen or more strops in that time period, including a few that were old and dried I revived This product is also useful for turning a fast strop into one that will have slower draw, by working into the leather using a flat sided coffee mug...you pour the oil on the strop then lean into the mug with your body weight, with the strop on a table top, on top of newspaper, to absorb any errant/excess oil, then push the mug like a steam roller up and down the length of your strop, so the oil will penetrate the leather. This oil did wonders for my old leather boots. They are much more supple now that Ive put a few coatings on. The container was more than enough to treat the pair of 9 leather boots with 4 or 5 coatings (with a fair amount to spare). It had been a long time since they had been oiled, so I wouldnt expect as much to be needed next time. I would buy this again.

It does an excellent job of restoring the leather. I only gave it 4 stars because it has a very slight smell that last a few days. This is normal, but I tend to remember Neatsfoot Oils in the past being slightly better. It could be just poor memory, or maybe it was Mink Oil that I used. It sure makes the leather look nice.
