I used this on my work boots from Red Wing. This stuff looks and feels like mineral oil, but it has a very mild leathery smell. I rubbed it all over my boots and it instantly made the boots darker. Im talking about amber boots to dark brown, almost as if the boots were wet. So I wouldnt use this on fashionable leather items like dress shoes or furniture. However, this stuff looks like its working to protect the leather. Water beads off my boots and the leather is softer. It gets the job done for the price. I bought the 16 ounce bottle to save a little more; its basically a little more than a can of soda.

Im neutral, I use it on leather, for knife sheaths and holsters.

I use this oil on all of our leather goods, from baseball gloves, boots, handbags, leather jackets to knife sheaths. If you don’t use it, your leather goods will dry out and crack. Annually, I treat all our leather goods with this product so I go through a lot of it. My only note is that after you apply it liberally, you need to let it absorb overnight. Final note, depending on where you live and the ambient humidity, you may need more than one coat/yr. If you need it, use it because it will greatly extend the life of your leather goods.

I searched for a gallon size, this product came up and that is what I thought I was getting a gallon not 16 ounces.

This Neatsfoot Oil is just what I was looking for to condition my leather boots. My boots were getting dry from repeated trips outside in the snow and salt, and this oil has helped restore them.

It preps the leather nicely, which gives me an evenly poroused surface to work on and it offers the amount of waterproofing and protection that I hope for in my products. I use this to break in footballs. Darkens them up. Softens them up. Great product!
