Filtrete 20x24x1, AC Furnace Air Filter, MPR 1900, Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen, 6-Pack (exact dimensions 19.81 x 23.81 x 0.78)

Ive been buying/using Filtrete filters for as long as I can remember. Im a single (non-cleaning kind of) guy, smoke (heavily) indoors, and am a cat lover (fur, hair, dander). I need all the filtration I can get! For years Ive used a higher MPR rated Filtrete filter. But they have gotten too expensive! Reluctantly, I opted to try these more reasonably priced 1900 rated ones. How much less do MPR 1900 filters filter than MPR 2200 ones? I doubt you or I will ever know.

I have these on auto ship for 2 furnaces. I have allergies to pets. We have 3 cats and a 100 long German Sheppard who seems to shed half his weight daily. The filters work great. I replace them every 3 months and they are black. No one smokes so I am not sure where it comes from. One issue that i have is on the unit that is attached to an Ecobee thermostat. I believe that because of the extra filtration when it gets close to the end of life cycle it trips the overheat system on the furnace and resets the thermostat. My reasoning for this claim is that I did not have this issue with builder quality filters ( house is 3 years old ) and it doesnt happen when the filters are new. Overall, if you have allergies or want the cleanest air, these are the filters for you. If you have no issues go a step down. It might also be better for your system. I will stay with these and possibly change them sooner. It makes sense that a better filter will capture more pollution and thus need to be changed more frequently than a builder quality filter. MS

Works well as a cheap filter on my 20 inch box fan.

Have used this brand of filters for years. I like how well these work for removing fine particulates and reducing our allergy issues.

Ordered the 6 pack because it seemed like a great deal but I only received 1 filter and no help on getting my other 5!
