> 3 dayI am so impressed with this turntable. Great quality. Great price. I have it connect to my home theatre receiver, using the built in pre amp. Wow - i feel like a kid again, blowing the dust off my old records - they do sound better than digital. Thanks to Amazon customers for the great info too!

> 3 dayI purchased the RT81 not just for myself, but also as a gift for my dad, who is turning 70 soon. He has a collection of old vinyl LPs he hasnt played in decades, since our old turntable broke. The moment the needle touched the record and the music started playing, his face lit up with a smile I havent seen in a long time. Truly magical.

> 3 dayThis Fluance RT-81 seems to be pretty decent. Hard to compare when so few others have turntables. Major complaint: It tends to pick up a lot of low rumble and vibration. I had a speaker with good bass near it and it set off a runaway low roar feedback event. I had a set of Audio Technica isolation / leveling feet on hand and used those. Helped a lot. Keep the cover down to keep it from picking up shelf or cabinet rumble. My previous turntable was a Dual with the platter and drive on a floating, spring mounted chassis. Cuts WAY back on rumble. Need to bring those back? The AT95e cartridge also decent. I put a little too much pressure on it during cleaning it and bent the stylus. Had to order a new one. Don’t remember them being that fragile decades ago.

> 3 dayOne, if not, the best entry level turntable if you’re trying to get into the more advanced / expensive side of turntables.

> 3 dayI shopped and researched for a couple of months before decided to get the Fluance RT-81. My goal was to get a quality turntable for under $400, to listen to my old LPs and to play some newer releases. After playing mostly 10 records on it over the course of 3 weeks, I can say that I am extremely happy with this turntable. I have it connected to my A/V receiver. I know that some have had issues with speed -- I have not had an issue with that thus far. I did check the 33 and 45 speeds after a 24-hour burn in, as suggested by the manual. The 33 was only slightly off, which was simple enough to adjust, and the 45 was nearly dead-on perfect.

> 3 dayBrilliant product, I appreciate having the pre-amp. I purchased this product as I didnt need a USB input for my turntable setup. I was incredibly pleased with the build quality of this product. Its beautifully designed and it feels incredibly sturdy. This Fluance turntable is an example of sometimes they do build them like they used to.

> 3 dayFor an entry level turntable, the sound is excellent. Well built body and an ability to upgrade cartridge and stylus make this a versatile unit.

> 3 dayThis was a solid and affordable turntable while it worked. Unfortunately, a component in the tonearm failed a few months after the two-year warranty expired. The only way to replace this component is to replace the whole tonearm. I contacted Fluance customer support to see about purchasing a replacement. After a couple months of waiting and them losing my support ticket a couple times, they got back with a simple we dont have the part. So now Im left with this large paper weight on my shelf as I shop for another turntable. Sadly, I wont be purchasing from Fluance again. And I thought we had such a good thing going...

> 3 dayI’m new to record players but did some research first and am very glad I ended up getting this Fluance. It is beautiful, easy to set up and sounds amazing. I have it hooked up to my Marantz receiver for our home theater and it works perfectly. Do yourself a favor a don’t waste your money on a suit case record player! Would definitely recommend this Fluance!

> 3 dayIf youre buying this with Edifier garbage speakers, just buy this and good speakers elsewhere.
