> 3 dayI am just getting into listening into records and Ive had lots of recommendations for the Fluance turntables RT80/RT81. I decided to splurge the extra amount of money for the 81 model. Turntable is heavy but thats on purpose because this thing is really solidly built. The AT95E cartridge puts out high quality sound and doesnt take away from the environment of just wanting to sit back and listen to a whole LP. All the features described work as intended and if I had money to burn Id buy another RT81 just for the heck of it.

> 3 dayI really don’t know how to rate this product if this product (that im supposed to give as a gift) is damaged. And the item is not cheap to be getting these defects. Even the tonearm is rusty inside and does not allow it to balance. Really disappointed and sad with the outcome.

> 3 dayI recently received the walnut R81 Fluance turntable as a gift and have been really happy with the build and sound quality. The first thing that stood out to me about this turntable was how solid it was - the base is nearly a two inch thick slab of MDF, with a really nice walnut veneer on it. Its clean and timeless looking, with the feel of a device that will last for several years.

> 3 dayI have the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge attached to an Ortofon headshell. This has always worked flawlessly with the turntable that Ive used for years which unfortunately just died. So I purchased this Fluance RT81 turntable. I attached the Ortofon to the Fluance. With some minor adjustments it should work right? Wrong. I experimented with the tracking force, skating adjustment and spent lots of my time doing that. No matter what I do, I can’t keep records from skipping.

Greater than one weekI love this record player! Been researching and researching and comparing different record players for about a year now. Finally ready to buy one and I decided on this one. As Ive read most of the reviews on here and it seemed to be the best quality for the value I could find. Definitely, take everything out of the box carefully and do not open anything from the plastic until instructed to do so as you follow along with the set up directions, which are very easy to follow or they have a video you can watch also.

> 3 dayI was looking for a well built turntable with a rich warm wood grain, but unfortunately the wood grain did not look like the photos. The actual wood was much darker, almost black in most places, so it did not match our home layout. It was however very solidly constructed all around with nice solid base, well balanced tone arm and high quality workmanship.

> 3 dayI originally bought a 6-in-1 Victrola because of the aesthetic and I liked all the capabilities. It was cheaply made and I wasn’t super impressed, so I returned it and bought the Fluance instead. It was a jump in price, especially given you need to buy speakers as well to be able to listen to your records. But it was 100% worth it! I combined with Edifer speakers which you can also purchase on Amazon. It was easy to put together, and the quality is very apparent right out the box.
