> 3 dayI dont claim to be an audiophile. But I am an experienced listener of quality music and have mixed music professionally in the past. I had an old Technics turntable for decades and kept my vinyl collection in good condition. Once I setup the Fluance RT82, I was impressed with the richness of tunes that I had not experienced from my previous setup. The setup takes patience and attention to detail. But not too difficult to follow. It does require a preamp (But most quality turntables do). I didnt experience any need to burn in the sound (as other reviewers mention) as it has sounded great since the first album played! If you can appreciate good audio and you are meticulous about caring for your collection and your gear, you will like this product.

> 3 dayOnly thing missing for me in this model is a strobe and variable speed. Seems like it is on target regardless, I like this turntable and cartridge. Running it direct via the supplied 3ft cable to my AV receiver Phono input.

> 3 dayI’m absolutely amazed by this turntable, it’s well made and the sound is great! Well worth the investment, no regrets. I also love the fact that almost all the components are upgradable.

> 3 dayNot only do records sound great on this turntable, the turntable is also eye catching with its walnut finished. I love the all black plate and instruments. I have it connected to the Marantz SR5015 receiver and Bowers & Wilkins speakers. The dust cover was damaged upon delivery so I reached out to Fluance rather Amazon. Fluance sent out a new replacement cover to eliminate the hassle of returning the entire unit back to Amazon. Awesome customer service Fluance! Thank you Brent!

> 3 dayJust received the RT-82 and I feel like a kid in a candy store. When cds hit the market in the 80s I moved away from my LPs, but with the renewed interest in LPs and turntables the last few years I have been considering jumping back in. I didnt want to go cheap, but on the other hand the Pro-ject and Rega models i was considering were at the top end of what I wanted to spend, but they are totally manual, and I wanted auto-return. I came across some reviews of Fluance and suddenly I realized that I had found what Ive been looking for. The RT 82-85 are all the same base turntable, but as you move up you get better cartridges and a heavier platter, but I went for the 82 for only, $300, knowing I can upgrade in the future. Its solid and heavy...I didnt want a light, plastic tt, and I had heard the pro-ject was lightweight. It took 30 minutes to set-up...pay close attention to the instructions for balancing the tone arm...but when I lowered the stylus onto the record it played perfectly the first time. And, though it doesnt have full auto return, the platter stops turning at the end of the record, so I dont have to worry about it continuing if I had something take me away. And although the sound is first rate, I wanted something aesthetically pleasing, and this is a beautiful, minimalist design. The piano black finish is gorgeous, and it perfectly matches my Peachtree amp. Bravo Fluance for a brilliant design!

> 3 dayThis is the best sounding turntable I have ever used and it is beautiful set up is easy and upgrading is super easy I purchased the vinyl platter and a spare belt from fluance and put a ortofon qbert that I already had and it sounds amazing. The auto stop takes about 5 to 8 revolutions before it stops. I shoped for weeks before I pulled the trigger on my flaunce turntable and Im very happy I did its will last me for years to come...

> 3 daySet up was easy. Instructions were clear and detailed. While playing the first record I was thinking I should have upgraded to the 2M Red stylus but after reading some forum posts about styli needing 10 to 50 hours of break-in time Ive put about 15 hours on this and it seems much more detailed. Im playing this through a 1974 Kenwood amp that Ive never had serviced so after I take it in for a checkup Im sure Ill get more listening pleasure from the new RT82. I would definitely recommend this to anyone not wanting to spend a fortune to listen to good quality sound.

> 3 dayBig upgrade for my 1979 Sony PS-T1. Accurate and reliable and sonically superior to the Sony. It was fun putting the Fluance together upon arrival. Gained a deeper understanding of how the turntable functions.
