Get more than one bag if you have a 10+ gallon tank. One worked fine for our small terrarium. Hermit crabs seem to enjoy. Sand stays pretty moist.

Great came really early, and my hermit crabs love it.

Our hermit crabs never really dug into the sand that we got from the pet store before, but once we started using this stuff they really got into it. They love it. They dig down and bury themselves in it. We spray the sand daily with a spray bottle to keep it moist in the cages that we have and it tends to have a musty smell after awhile, so we change it out about every 3-4 weeks depending on how it smells, but otherwise this is really great stuff.

We loved this product for our Hermit Crabs. It was moist and lasted for weeks in the tank. We had the crabs for a couple of years and they were happy and doing well until we emptied their tank and opened a new bag of sand to put in with them, but the bag smelled strongly of must and mold. We called the manufacturer, but they told us we would have to return it thru Amazon, although the return window had closed, since we purchase bags ahead of time to ensure we have one ready when needed. We had to locally search for a new substrate immediately, as we were going away for the weekend. The only one we could find was a fine, dry white sand, and our Hermit Crabs died within days of using the other substrate. Great product, as long as it isnt musty/moldy. So sad. :-(
