This is THE BEST sand for hermit crabs!! Its not so fine as the other stuff weve purchased in the past and the crabs love it.

We purchased three bags of this sand for my sons hermit crab habitat. After replacing the previous substrate with this sand, our three hermit crabs were visibly thrilled. All three began eating the sand, digging in it, and they all even upgraded to larger shells. Before putting in this sand, the crabs stayed buried all the time, only surfacing at night. Now they seem so much more active and happy. This sand must contain minerals they need. We love it and will purchase again.

I used 2 bags for a 10g for which was abt 1in of sand. I cleaned this sand out really well cuz was using it for different reasons. Looks great for a one turtle hatchling tank.

This is the closest to beach sand youre going to find commercially available. Its the best sand Ive used for my hermit crabs EVER and I will be buying this exclusively from now on. My crabs absolutely love it!

Product works well and Doesnt get a build up of Algae in the aquariums and the sand doesnt overly clump like other brands. Cost affective for multiple tanks.
