Fluker All Natural Premium Sand Substrate Mixture for Hermit Crabs Pack of 2 66027-2p

I have purchased this product in the past and it was great. It was a dry sand that i was able to wet with purified water for the hermies. This time, all 3 bags have wet and musty smelling sand. Anyone have any ideas as to why?

This sand is perfect for my 3 hermies!! Before I bought this sand, I was using imagitarium hermit crab sand that I had got from Petco. The imagitarium sand was okay, it clumped really bad, was calcium sand, and for a 10 lb. bag it was $14. The crabs really just scooted on it, not actually dug. Well, I am so glad that I switched!! This sand rocks! My hermies LOVE to dig and get dirty in this stuff! It doesnt/hardly clumps, it is made to mimic the sand in their natural environment, and for $14, you get 12 pounds, compared to 10. I received the sand in the bags moist as it should be for crabs, not to where I had to moisten it myself. It tells you all abot the benefits on the back. My one little con with this sand is that its hard to spot your crabs doo-doo because of the color, the poop almost blend in with it, but you can still feel to clean it out. But other then that, my crabs and I are in love with this stuff! Excellent quality, good price, made with real and all natural ingredients, and crab approved! Highly recommend for all crab lovers!

Best stuff for the price

Love this stuff, and more importantly so do my hermits. Holds moisture great and full of goodies crabs love. Ive bought at least a dozen bags.

I made the mistake of not rinsing this stuff before adding it to the tank. It made a cloudy mess. Dont make the same mistake I did!!
