It is good and works perfectly fine in my FX5. It is a bit expensive though! It comes in a nice box but I dont mind buying the foam pads in a cheap bag if this would lower its price. Im throwing the box in the trash anyways.

Theyre nice for what theyre intended to do - capture food/waste particles and clear up the water. The problem is that they tend to clog up fairly quickly. I run two Fluval Fx6 filters on my 240g tank with 2 pads in each filter - one in the top tray, one in the bottom along with the biofoam and bio ball media. The upper most pad will be the first to clog up and it only takes a couple of weeks. You can get by with rinsing them out for 2-3 uses but after that its usually time for a new one. Im considering using up the last of what I have and then just pull them completely. Pulling the Fx6 open every 2 weeks to clean the pads and clear the flow is a bit tedious but not horrible. Bottom line - good product but fairly high maintenance.

Like all of the Fluval filters I have bought the work awesome and take the pain out of cleaning the filters and tank regularly

Very hard to find this filter even in Pet stores that sell the Fuval Fx canister. Really helps keep the water clear. I order them from Amazon. I am not into trying to clean the used filter too much so I like to use new filters every other full change of media and filter spones in the FuvalFx

They fit in the canister filter perfectly and do a great job at filtering out the junk all while providing great places for biological filtration. and plenty of it.

Keeps my water crystal clear, only use one pad at a time since they are so dense.
