Aside from the white coarse pads surrounding the trays, I run two of these black sponges wavy side up in all three trays and thats all. I detail my fx6 every six months and it handles the bulk of filtration on my 125. I also run a HOB for supplemental water polishing

Works as advertised

Used it in my Eheim 2015 classic and it worked great and my water is crystal clear. My water turned cloudy since I started using my 2015. But after reading forums added a pad of these to my filter, a whole different ballgame. My fish were so happy I guess they started crossbreeding( Fantail and a blackmoor) and laid hundreds of eggs seriously after a week of having these lol.

The only Fluval product I would not recommend would be the partially submersible heater.

I had ordered these to preemptivly stock up and the price was good. When I recieved the blue filter pads I noticed these are knockoffs placed into the Fluval box. First I noticed these were flimsy and way thinner, whereas the authentic Fluval blue pads I already had on hand from a reputed fish store were thicker, sturdier, and tightly woven. The knockoffs are not cleanly cut as you can tell by the picture and are about half an inch small in diameter. They are also thinner than the authetic pads. Very devious and misleading as I paid for an item which I expect consistancy and legitamicy.

Threw these on my top rack along with some carbon. Works amazing in my 150 gal Tank. Racks: Bottom: Bio Rings + 3 Fine Filter Pads Middle: Bio Rings + 3 Fine Filter Pads Top: 3 Bags of Carbon + 3 Fine Filter Water Polishing Pads

Very hard to find this filter even in Pet stores that sell the Fuval Fx canister. Really helps keep the water clear. I order them from Amazon. I am not into trying to clean the used filter too much so I like to use new filters every other full change of media and filter spones in the FuvalFx

Great Product!

I love this Bio-Foam. Its great I have it on auto delivery for every two months. I use mainly for a reminder to clean the filters.
