> 3 dayWorks for my fluval FX4 but the package was smashed. Filters themselves were ok because they are soft and the material sprung back. Amazon needs to package this item better i.e. in a box not a soft envelope. Also the ratings included Noise level and suction which makes no sense for this product.

> 3 dayIndispensable for a Fluval FX5 canister filter. The white polishing pads are too dense and get clogged far too easily and quickly. These blue pads are a good compromise.

> 3 dayThese fine filter pads clear up the tank exceptionally well. However, these pads significantly reduce the flow (and therefore suction) of your FX6 filter. I image the effect is more pronounced in the less powerful FX4. I would recommend these be added if you need to polish the tank or if you have two filters and one is dedicated to mechanical filtration.

> 3 dayI read over and over that the other (white pads) clog too easily and the blue pads (these) work better for water clarity. I put these in my FX6 used for a turtle setup and the water has been crystal clear since the tank completed its cycle. I have never used the white pads, but I really see no reason to try them while these are working great. I did a full review and a detailed setup on the FX6 for my turtle setup you can read if you interested in setting one up for turtles. Overall I think these are excellent pads and I will continue to use them.

> 3 dayI made a canister filter out of 6 pvc, and i was looking for sponges i could use as a first stage. This product works perfectly for me. The diameter is a little bit larger than my filter, but its easy to cut down, and i use the excess as prefilter media.
