> 3 dayPlease listen. I normally do not write reviews, but I want to make sure you dont lose important data. The design of this drive looks great, but it is only aesthetics. The drive is bad, and the cable that it brings is a joke. I almost ruin my computer USB-C trying to insert it. The cable does not go all the way in the plug of the computer or the drive. It stays weirdly loose. I thought it was weird, but I really wanted to like that drive. Moving on, I passed 4TB to the drive, and two hours in while it was passing the data, I tilted my screen, and it moved the cable a little, I mean, it barely touched it, and the drive was ejected because it lost contact. Long story short, the drive didnt work from then on, and I could not reformat it again. Thankfully I didnt lose any data because I always have backups, but I am so scared that I am not even sure if I will buy a drive from this brand again. It is a liability issue because I had to return the drive to get my money and who knows where my data will end up. If the company cut corners to save money on a crappy cable, I cant even imagine what else they did inside the case. Trust me; you do NOT want this drive. I have been buying G-Drives for ten years, and I am a professional photographer and professor. This is the first rugged G-Drive I buy, and I can tell that it was not created for professionals. This company made a huge mistake with this drive, and I am moving on because this was unacceptable. Just write cable on the search of the ratings so you can see that I am not the only one complaining about the cable and the drive. I could have been a batch of drives, but I would not risk it. Get yourself another drive, maybe a Western Digital or LaCie.

> 3 dayJust as advertised. Had 2 bad experiences with WD Passport drives - both corrupted and ruined my life for 2 weeks trying to bring them back. Bought a G-Drive instead and it works perfectly.

> 3 dayNeeded a sturdy drive with a lot of space and in these front this drive succeeded. It’s very fast once connected and transfers are quick. My only issue with it is that sometimes it takes a while for the computer to recognize it. It’s happened a lot and it can be a bit frustrating. Tried it on a couple of my computers and it happened on all of them (MAC and Windows). Don’t really know what it is but just something to look out for. Other than that, great option!

> 3 dayIs reliable and does transfer pretty fast (was able to transfer about 62 gb from laptop to device in about 10 mins) , but not as fast as some others out there (transfer speed seemed to cap out at 130 MB/s) that may or may not cost more money. It reads well on my laptop and I would recommend. For those who want to travel with or just dont like how bulky it is you are able to take off the protective rubber/armor. It also doesnt seem to heat up as much as my other 1 tb hard drive.
