I thought the first time I was the one who did something wrong but no. This drive is NOT compatible with Mac products. I’m stuck with it now because I waited too long to use it.

Great tough case and good value for money but a little thicker than I imagined.

For a product that claims to be designed for heavy duty use, I was hopping to get some miles out of it before it fails. However my experience was the opposite, it failed me after plugging it on my computer couple of times. The speeds weren’t great either, but I was looking for durability rather than velocity. I understand that it was probably a defective unit. But When I try to get an EXCHANGE, I couldn’t do it without paying more money. To be fair customer service was trying to help me, but for some reason they couldn’t match the prices. At the end I ended up returning it, and look for something better.

Perfect hard drive for working on the go. I primarily use it for video editing and it’s super fast.

After using this hard drive for a few months files have started becoming corrupted, mysteriously. Thankfully I had some of the files backed up on a Sandisk SSD. Dont waste your time with this garbage, buy a Sandisk. Its worth the extra cost. **UPDATE** The drive completely wiped itself out and gave me a fatal hardware error. DO NOT BUY!!

I assumed it had a thunderbolt connection - it does not. The USB-C connection is pretty fast however. It runs very quietly, and is fast enough to make our studio backups. Since we will be storing backups off-site, the durability factor was important.

Just as advertised. Had 2 bad experiences with WD Passport drives - both corrupted and ruined my life for 2 weeks trying to bring them back. Bought a G-Drive instead and it works perfectly.

You go through extremes to capture the perfect shot, so make sure your storage is as relentless as you are. With G-Technology’s ArmorATD drive, you get an all-terrain drive with shock, rain, dust and crush resistance to protect your footage from out in the wild to back in the studio. Finally, a rugged drive you can rely on. | *As used for storage capacity, one terabyte (TB) = one trillion bytes. Total accessible capacity varies depending on operating environment. | **Shock resistance up to 1.2m for 1TB and 2TB drive, and 1m for 4TB and 5TB drive on a carpeted concrete floor.
