Im not fully versed with this watch just got it. But it looks great. Just got a screen protector and bezel cover. Watch looks and feels great. Its not heavy although it looks like it might be. I know battery life is gonna be great cause my last Garmin also had great battery life. This says 24 days when i first got it, and i believe it. Going to use it for work outs, but I also love the looks. The data fields on watch, different faces you can get, and even adjust what you want to see. Is the price worth it? Wouldnt an apple watch or samsung be as good? Yes. But thats also up to you, your seriousness of training, your style, and your pockets.

Guess I should have watched, no pun intended, more closely when I was choosing the watch, I wanted one with the flashlight, didnt realize it only came on the 7X model

Ive waited a long time to upgrade my Fenix. Had a Fenix 3, which didnt even have a wrist HR sensor. The Fenix 7X was the one that finally convinced me to drop nearly $1K on a watch, with so many new features compared to my Fenix 3, including a touchscreen and the ability to set activities up from the phone.

Perfect replacement for my Forunner 735XT (see photos for comparison). The saphire solar is only a few grams heavier and otherwise identical in size. I like doing triathlons and the extra metrics with the newer model watches are a welcome change for those of us using outdated tech. That being said the training status, body battery and stress scores are not very helpful.

This watch has all the bells and whistles you could want. The amount of data this watch collects is crazy and a little overwhelming. So I would definitely recommend playing around with it for a week or two before heading out for your next workout or adventure.
