My last Garmin watch was the Fenix 5S. I had it for 8 years but the HR monitor started to not track consistently. That’s why I bought this model. This new model is touchscreen, tracks sleep, pulse, and even HRV (which I need). Love it so much!! Also stays charged for days..

I broke 6X so I bought 7x, much better product, more improvements. I think worth the money and I will buy again

Watch itself is everything you researched on YouTube videos, amazing piece of gear for EDC and fitness. Low rating was that watch was delivered with box seal open already?! Item was inspected thoroughly and looked new, watch also registered online with Garmin website/ app, so must be new and legit right?! Still sketchy, but watch is performing as needed so far.

Ive had numerous FitBit devices. The last was a FitBit Sense Advanced which lasted < 3 months and they refused to replace it.

Its my third Garmin. Had the 235, the 245 music and now bought this because I wanna start doing some open water swimming. Could have bought the 745 or the 945 but since I have a small wrist those wore oversized. This Fenix 7s I can wear it to work or going out with friends.

Ive waited a long time to upgrade my Fenix. Had a Fenix 3, which didnt even have a wrist HR sensor. The Fenix 7X was the one that finally convinced me to drop nearly $1K on a watch, with so many new features compared to my Fenix 3, including a touchscreen and the ability to set activities up from the phone.

I only bought this watch because I needed an upgrade to support my Stryd pod. This is such a hilarious expenditure but I was feeling confident at the time so I went for it.

I love this new watch. I have been a Garmin fan (on and off) but this watch is great. Its quick, response and lasts longer than the typical smart watches....close to 15 days at a time, not counting the solar charges.

Ignore the flashy technology; Garmin missed the mark with basics. After swimming in a pool, the buttons stop functioning. Sometimes the buttons stop functioning mid-swim. Most often its the back/lap button that stops functioning, rendering any form of lapped workout impossible. On multiple occasions the screen scrolls uncontrollably on its own after swimming as well, which could also be a stuck button issue. Garmin says to rinse the watch buttons with fresh water after every swim, and to soak the watch in soapy water if the buttons stop functioning. Neither of those actions should be necessary for a multi-sport watch, let alone one that costs $700+. Soaking works sometimes. Garmin replaced my first watch, and I quickly experienced the same issues with the second. My 3rd watch is on its way, but I have no confidence this one will work any better. Credit to Garmin for replacing the device while under warranty, but after that expires, Im out of luck. They also offered me an upgrade to the Solar version; however, that likely doesnt solve the problem since the button design is the same. The Garmin rep. I spoke with would not confirm or deny if they found any design or manufacturing issues, or if the upgraded Solar version is manufactured in a different factory than the standard version. Reading tech blogs, it seems that Im not the only one having these problems. Its frustrating that Garmin would not acknowledge a widespread issue. I wont trust this watch in a multisport race this year, especially coming out of the swim in a triathlon. The battery on my first device was incredible, but the battery life on my 2nd device was significantly lower and experienced huge drops even when not using GPS. I didnt even address this with Garmin since the buttons werent working anyway.

Be careful if you buy the sapphire version since there are already hundreds of complaints about the watches display having deep scratches and even cracks. Garmin seems not to accept these scratches as guaranty cases and will charge for the display replacement. Happened to me after 1st week of my watch and there was no accidental drop or hitting something with the display. There is no sign of damage on the rest of the watch just a scratch on the display and Garmin refused to change the display for free. My guess is that the display got more vulnerable because of the new touch functionality. Today I would rather not having touch functionality then being forced to buy an additional gorilla glass tempered glass for my sapphire Fenix 7x
