> 24 hourThis power strip has a major design flaw. If you unplug it or lose power, the Wifi will stop working and make the strip useless. There isn’t even a way to make the outlets turn on manually. Customer service is also slow to respond to warranty replacements. The 1st unit was eventually replaced free of charge, but that one broke the same way the first one did. It has been a week and customer service still hasn’t responded to my inquiry about a refund (no need for another replacement, this is useless if it keeps breaking after power loss). Glad I was home when both instances happened, otherwise my fish would be dead… I ordered another strip and tested it for the same flaw: works perfectly. Don’t waste your time with Geeni. Spend a few more bucks and get a reputable brand.

> 24 hourThe app lets you choose what to name each outlet so they can be controlled separately and each can have their own schedule assigned. I also have it linked with my google assistant, so now I can control all the lamps in my house completely hands-free.

> 24 hourThe Geeni wifi controlled outlet is just about as useless as all the other wifi enabled outlets on this cursed app (Im looking at you Gosund). Dont know why I bothered with this one. Yes, it has 6 individually controllable outlets, but that doesnt matter when it CANT EVEN CONNECT TO THE APP. The first time I plugged it in out of the box it was smooth sailing. Unplugged it and tried again, then all of a sudden it cant connect at all. The app will find the device, but thats as far as itll get. I know its not a problem with my wifi either since it can connect to it. When using the on-board wifi to connect in slow mode, itll connect, but boy good luck staying connected as it IMMEDIATELY boots you off. Also when trying to connect in slow or fast mode the device randomly turns on and off, even switching pairing modes which probably isnt helping. Whyd I unplug it in the first place? Because the schedule system in it is absolutely ABYSSMAL. At first, only one of the outlets was turning off and on as scheduled. The other outlets would turn on as scheduled, but would NEVER turn off as scheduled. Eventually, BOTH wouldnt turn on or off on time. This is why I unplugged it, so I could maybe reset and connect to it. Well, you already know how it went trying to reconnect (surprise! it wouldnt). Stay clear and read the RECENT reviews. All the consistently good reviews were from 2-3 years ago. I cant return it as I threw away the original packaging since I THOUGHT my problems were solved. In fact, save yourself the time and money and just forego any wifi outlets in general. Buy yourself a manual outlet timer if you really need it. This thing is now reduced to being a $30, regular outlet with no wifi controlled capabilities.

> 24 hourIt‘s suppose to be new but it looks used with a little wear. We’ll see if it works or if I have to send it back.

> 24 hourVery difficult to set up, very difficult to reach anyone in support. It took me an hour to setup, another brand I had set up in minutes. The app is extremely glitchy, but the worst part is that the timers don’t always work. If you are using this to control timed lighting or devices for reptiles, fish, or plants, DO NOT use this product! It will leave your heat lamps on! You will find other reviews that say the same. I bought this to replace a Gosund brand similar product. I was perfectly happy with that brand, just needed more outlets than any of their products offer. I would definitely recommend any by Gosund instead unless you need more than 3-4 outlets and don’t want to take up more than one outlet on the wall.

> 24 hourI really liked this power strip when I first got it and everything worked just fine for about a year. However, I got a new internet provider and when I attempted to switch this power strip to the new wifi, it simply wouldnt reset so that I could connect it. It should be able to be reconnected as needed without it breaking down. So now I just have an expensive power strip that does nothing more than what a $3.00 power strip would do!

> 24 hourI had no issue with setup. I can turn on/off each plug via Alexa or Google home. This saves me money as I only turn on things connected to my TV as needed. The app looks like a copied version of Tuya / Smart Things... but alot of smart devices have apps that seam to borrow from that app.

> 24 hourAmazing, easy instructions. Easy setup. Works great, the ONLY complaint I have is petty and Ill even buy more of these when I need more. Just doesnt have the little holes on the back to hang it on a wall like every other surge protector. If theyre going to make that upgrade, it would be perfect

> 24 hourOut of the box it was great. Plugged it in, pressed the power button to turn it on and then held the pairing button down for a few seconds. The Geeni app works well and allows for some customization and timers for each plug. I was so happy that I went out and bought four more of them. A FEW MONTHS LATER... We replaced our internet router and changed the settings for the wifi. This meant we had to reset all the plugs to match the new router configuration. The Geeni plugs WILL NOT RESET. You press the pairing button and the plugs turn on but it will NOT go into pairing mode. I looked this issue up on the web and found page after page of people having the same issue. I tried several noted fixes, such as leaving it unplugged for a while (several days in fact) but nothing worked. The power strip still works but is no longer very smart. I am unable to pair them with anything. I would not and will not purchase these again. I can now see why they were the least expensive on Amazon.
