I have had this for quite some time now. When it works it is easy to use and works great. I have this installed to control the lighting on my aquarium. Every few months it decides it does not need my schedule. The lights turn on in the morning one day and never shut off. I delete the schedule and install a new one and still will not follow it. I can turn the lights on and off from the app. So it is not a case where the wifi isnt working. Factory reset time. Well this is annoying, but should be easy, right? No. I tell it factory reset, all lights shut off. I lay on the floor and hold the button down and it blinks quickly, I tell the app to search. At exactly 6% or 10% depending on the mood the light stops blinking. The app sits there going up 1% at a time slowly and painfully while I sit there looking at it like a moron because I know that if it doesnt pick it up by 10% it is not going to. Why does a device that can perform millions of calculations per second need 2 minutes to determine that this thing is not there when I can tell just by looking at the light shutting off on the power strip that 5 seconds in it is not connecting. I have several smart devices and they either instantly connect or dont at all. The 2 minutes % timer is such a waste of time and adder of stress and frustration when you know it has failed.

Works great. Just what I was looking for. I have my lights and pumps for a saltwater aquarium automated using this strip and it works great. Easy integration with Alexa was a game changer from having to use the Geeni app outside of the scheduled on/off functions. Only issue I’ve had is not directly linked to the product, but more so Amazon was that the first smart strip delivered looked used. But Amazon customer service took care of it for me. No foul on the actual product for that though.

This was my favorite purchase from the holiday season. It saved me from crawling behind our Christmas tree to plug in everything. Between our tree lights, train, plug-in village houses, and background lights- it was so nice and convenient to do it all from my phone. I was able to do it from upstairs, too, so my kids could wake up and go downstairs to an already lit tree during our dark winter mornings.

Good smart 6 port switch, not great. The Positives: you can control each port individually or together with the app, or Alexa, each port can be named as well as the device, Alexa will read those settings from the app. responds very quickly and the wifi setup is really easy, The NOT so good: even tho you can schedule(on/Off) each individual port, the schedule is VERY unreliable sometime does not follow the schedule on or off settings, which makes the schedule pretty much unusable. after power outage it comes back all off, doesnt remember the previous settings. this is a great device as long you are not going to use the schedule feature. and you dont care about being off after a power outage.

Would be 5 stars, but discovered tonight that if you set up a time schedule and then change the time(s) for whatever reason, theres a chance it wont actually turn the sockets on and off at those times anymore. Fixed it by DELETING the times and then adding them again. Great app other than that, i use this to control aquarium equipment, lighting and co2, among other things. So just be careful when adjusting on/off schedules and make sure to delete the schedule and do a new one altogether and you should be fine.

Im a new home owner and I work 12 hour shifts. When I go to work, the house is dark, and Im using my phones light to search for the living room light; same for when I come home. Ive heard about hubs that turn on your lights with timers but I needed more than one plug. During my daily Amazon search, I found Geeni and the features I was looking for and its Alexa friendly! The setup is easy and the Alexa integration was simple. Ive tested out the timers and now when I wake up and head out to the living for work Im not stumbling around in the dark cause the lights are already on, same for when I come home from work. And Im not worried about forgetting to turn off the lights when Im ready for bed, whether I say good night Alexa or use the app or timer to shut off the lights it responds. Im very satisfied with the product and I highly recommend.

App is completely unreliable. Definitely wouldnt trust this to run using the geeni app.

Used for my Christmas village instead of having to switch all the houses on, I can now ask Alexa to turn on The village and they all on. It’s also linked to my phone on app so super easy to control especially for those hard to reach outlets behind cabinets. Love this purchase

Bought two units for about 2 and a half months, one unit keeps turning off and on for about one every hour.
