SETUP: My experience is from using 4 of these over the past 3 years. Set up is a bit tedious due to the need to be very close to wifi and BlueTooth for iPhone set up. Another issue is in setting up there is no feedback that it is searching for wifi / Bluetooth (would be great if showed a processing set). ONCE SET UP: My experience is it is great! iPhone UI is great! Unfortunately, the chipsets (Bluetooth/ Wifi) stop working after a couple of years (not sure why/). I only have needed 2 but had to replace them over time during the 3 use. If you expect to work reliably like a typical power strip with a smart capability IT IS NOT...

The Geeni wifi controlled outlet is just about as useless as all the other wifi enabled outlets on this cursed app (Im looking at you Gosund). Dont know why I bothered with this one. Yes, it has 6 individually controllable outlets, but that doesnt matter when it CANT EVEN CONNECT TO THE APP. The first time I plugged it in out of the box it was smooth sailing. Unplugged it and tried again, then all of a sudden it cant connect at all. The app will find the device, but thats as far as itll get. I know its not a problem with my wifi either since it can connect to it. When using the on-board wifi to connect in slow mode, itll connect, but boy good luck staying connected as it IMMEDIATELY boots you off. Also when trying to connect in slow or fast mode the device randomly turns on and off, even switching pairing modes which probably isnt helping. Whyd I unplug it in the first place? Because the schedule system in it is absolutely ABYSSMAL. At first, only one of the outlets was turning off and on as scheduled. The other outlets would turn on as scheduled, but would NEVER turn off as scheduled. Eventually, BOTH wouldnt turn on or off on time. This is why I unplugged it, so I could maybe reset and connect to it. Well, you already know how it went trying to reconnect (surprise! it wouldnt). Stay clear and read the RECENT reviews. All the consistently good reviews were from 2-3 years ago. I cant return it as I threw away the original packaging since I THOUGHT my problems were solved. In fact, save yourself the time and money and just forego any wifi outlets in general. Buy yourself a manual outlet timer if you really need it. This thing is now reduced to being a $30, regular outlet with no wifi controlled capabilities.

Very difficult to set up, very difficult to reach anyone in support. It took me an hour to setup, another brand I had set up in minutes. The app is extremely glitchy, but the worst part is that the timers don’t always work. If you are using this to control timed lighting or devices for reptiles, fish, or plants, DO NOT use this product! It will leave your heat lamps on! You will find other reviews that say the same. I bought this to replace a Gosund brand similar product. I was perfectly happy with that brand, just needed more outlets than any of their products offer. I would definitely recommend any by Gosund instead unless you need more than 3-4 outlets and don’t want to take up more than one outlet on the wall.

It was very easy to connect to my wifi. I use it with my Google home, I use it for lamps in my bedroom. U can program each slot separately. So I just turn my lights on using my Google home. Very handy

Out of the box it was great. Plugged it in, pressed the power button to turn it on and then held the pairing button down for a few seconds. The Geeni app works well and allows for some customization and timers for each plug. I was so happy that I went out and bought four more of them. A FEW MONTHS LATER... We replaced our internet router and changed the settings for the wifi. This meant we had to reset all the plugs to match the new router configuration. The Geeni plugs WILL NOT RESET. You press the pairing button and the plugs turn on but it will NOT go into pairing mode. I looked this issue up on the web and found page after page of people having the same issue. I tried several noted fixes, such as leaving it unplugged for a while (several days in fact) but nothing worked. The power strip still works but is no longer very smart. I am unable to pair them with anything. I would not and will not purchase these again. I can now see why they were the least expensive on Amazon.

I got this a few months and just took it out the box , some of the outlets aren’t working at all. Brand new out the box and fail. I wouldn’t recommend it waist of money .

Easy to install and the app is super easy to use. Grow Lights I have connected to the smart outlets turn on/off as I’ve scheduled them. Worked great when I was out of the country.

Weve had a problem with this device flickering off and on. Weve tried it on different outlets, returned one and got another, tried different devices plugged in and it is definitely the device.
