> 3 dayThese Glyph drives are the only external hard drives I trust to last. Quick and pretty quiet, they have never failed on me and this is the third one Ive purchased. The other two are still going strong after several years.

Greater than one weekMeanwhile, every other drive I ever bought works. Avoid these garbage devices and their entire company like the plague. They didnt change their company name from Glyph to G-Tech because they had a good brand reputation, Ill tell you that. Ive lost mulitple drives worth of info from these pieces of crap.

> 3 dayI usually like Glyph drives, but this model seems to have a design flaw. The drive I bought loses its connection when the drive is moved. The USB C cable does not appear to be properly fastened to the board, so the connection is intermittent when even the USB cable gets touched. This is a huge fail and I would avoid this drive. Its a snake because my 2 TB version that I bought two years ago is still running perfectly and that one has been all over the planet.

Greater than one weekDO NOT BUY! I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY! I bought the 2TB Glyph blackbox plus from this seller and they sent me one that was broken. When I would insert it into my Mac or PC, they were unable to read it. They did refund me my money but it was frustrating trying to get it to work when i received it but then finding out that it had a defect. I had contacted Glyph support and told them that the blackbox plus would not stop making a beeping sound when plugged into the computer. They told me that the blackbox was defective and to return it to the seller. Also just as a side note, if you do decide on buying the blackbox plus, try the 1TB because its considerably faster than the 2TB model.

> 3 daySuper disappointed in this drive. Worked great for about 7 months. I use a *lot* of portable drives for recording/content capture, and have had experience with a great number of rugged, drives over the years. I expected this one to be relatively bombproof: reliable for transporting in a bag and using on the go. ...But it didnt even survive being placed gently on a desktop, used for an hour, and then placed gently back into a cabinet for seven months. Id avoid this one at all costs.

> 3 dayI purchased this based on past successes with Glyph as a premium device for which I was willing to pay the extra premium. I used it as a third tier backup for important financial information. Unfortunately it failed shortly after the return deadline. I did not have it encrypted nor password protected so was reluctant to return it to Glyph for an exchange out of concern of data privacy. So I would 1) recommend not purchasing this and 2) with the one that you eventually purchase add protection so that if it fails you can feel comfortable with any return policy.

Greater than one weekBought this almost a year ago, and just had the unfortunate heart-stopping crash on my MacBook Pro hard drive, where I had to erase everything to factory settings. I was able to effectively restore all of my data from this device, since I’d been using time machine backup with it. Highly recommend for peace of mind!

> 3 dayThis is the second Glyph I bought and my decision was based on the experience Im having with the first one. One year on, the first Glyph is working perfectly. The second one is for transferring files. This is good value for the money, but then one would expect that storage gets cheaper over time.
