> 24 hourHaving been a satisfied Nexus 5X since November 2015 I saw no reason to upgrade. Nexus battery is finally barely lasting a day. Decided on Pixel 4a 5g. The newer phone is slightly larger but much thinner. Seamless transition only required 3 additional logins as everything else transitioned automatically with google tools. Slightly warmer on new phone when watching a video. Teetering use 5G yielding 150/150 megabits/sec from AT&T. Wish I had done it sooner since GPS works in location where Nexus didnt. Newer Android OS is much quicker responding to inputs with no pauses. Multi-day on a single charge with a more accurate battery charge state then Nexus. Great upgrade from Google

> 24 hourNow I know why these were on sale here. Does not work on Verizon 5G. Might not work on other 5G networks also ? Its a nice phone, but I bought it to use on Verizons 5G network. Now the sales are over and Im kinda stuck with it unless I want to cough up more $$ to get one that works on 5G. Should have gotten the phone at the Verizon store while they were marked down. Stupid me...... I had tech service try to figure it out a couple of times. Been in the store also. Just had them install another 5G sim card in the phone. Still doesnt work on 5G. UPDATE Just left the verizon store again with a new sim card. I get some 5G in spots now. My buddies Samsung phone is 5G almost all of the time. Mine isnt most of the time and were in the same place. Ive also been getting weaker signals and more dropped calls than my Pixel 2XL that i just retired. This is the first and only time i buy a phone off of a website. I would consider this phone a factory second. If my 2 XL wasnt losing battery capacity, id send the 4A 5G back for a refund.

> 24 hourI have never owned a Google Pixel before, but all my techy friends said its the way to go if youre looking for a good phone that wont break the bank. They were definitely right! It has some cool features like it can detect a car crash and call the police for you. Havent had any issues with it, no complaints. Very happy with my phone.

> 24 hourFirst of all, I had the phone 4 days and Im still putting it though its paces. The first thing I noticed right away after downloading everything is the battery life. The battery life is incredible on this phone...wow. I had it a few days now and I got, 10hrs 28min on screen time over 2 1/2 days with time left to spare. I didnt make it to battery saver mode. This is with a mix of heavy, med to light use. It charges pretty quickly also. It took 1hr and 5mins to charge from 17% to 100%. Love the camera and this is one of the reasons why people buy this phone. And the extra Google features they put on this phone. And the timely upsides of course. I was surprised to find out that I had 5g. Its pretty quick, T-Mobile version with me on Mint. Im getting 40mbs to 162 dn to 15.9 to 57 up in areas Ive tested so far. My friend is getting 7.4 dn where he lives so, everywheres different but so far Ive been getting it everywhere I go. Its a nice simple phone and its the Goldilocks of the new Pixel phones. No issues so far, works great. One I thing I dont like is, the location of the power button on top coming from Moto phones. Other than that love the phone.

> 24 hourHigh end devices like the Note 20 Ultra are getting easier and easier to pass up. This is a great device, I had a Note 20u for a few months because I wanted to check out the telephoto lens. Very cool and something Id love to see added back to the Pixel line but in the end it isnt worth paying triple the price. Speed wise the 4a 5g is only slightly slower than my Note 20 and in practical terms I rarely if ever notice any slowdowns. Same with battery life, Im seeing similar battery life and I had to turn my Notes refresh rate down to 60 to get decent battery life. No bloatware? Nice plus as well. My biggest beef with my note was the price and the fact that I had nagging issues with Samsungs crapware / system software. Lastpass had continual issues due to the Notes aggressive battery management. I white listed it but there was some sub process getting shut down which allowed overlay and it would cause Lastpass to stop filling. Then I had problems with getting the stupid thing to connect with my Chromebook for unlocking / messaging. The pixel just works. You would be hard pressed to beat what you are getting for the money here. Im a heavy user, dont hesitate to buy this and pass on the overpriced premium devices. They are a waste of money.

> 24 hourGreat phone! My first Pixel and I love it. Even though its 60hz, its still smooth. NO BLOATWARE!! Just straight stock Android. Battery life is actually very good. I went to sleep at 10pm with 89% battery and woke up with 85% battery. By noon, I was at 58% with heavy use... Twitter, You Tube etc. By 6pm I was at 35% battery. Im OK with that! Dont buy the $1200 phones. If you want all the gimmicks then go ahead and pay the $1200. Ill never buy an expensive phone ever again!

> 24 hourFinally a phone wheres others can hear me without asking me to continually repeat myself!! Also, Im able to hear clearly others without trying to clarify!! Excellent camera is a real bonus. After playing around with it a bit, adding microsoft launcher to it adding navigation buttos on the bottom, I had it just like I need, super awesome!! The audio and camera alone makes me want to make this my most favorite cell phone ever!!

> 24 hourI received my 4A 5G with much excitement, with high expectations based on reviews i had seen before. However, there some things that I had to note. Pros: 1. Compared to most of my previous phones, the sound quality was pretty good. I wouldnt think a typical user will be disappointed with the output of the speakers. 2. Screen quality wasnt bad. This isnt a flagship and so comparisons to one wouldnt be fair. 3. The fingerprint scanner was pretty fast and accurate. 4. If charging before bed, the battery would last throughout the workday and evening for me with moderate use. 5. Love the camera. It was a major reason for purchase and it didnt disappoint. Cons: 1. While the phone did facilitate a transfer of settings and data from my old phone, it didnt do so all that well. Photos did not always come across in their original albums, and worse (for some reason) didnt all keep the dates. the result was a jumbled mess that took ages to rectify. It was made worse with the fact that the phone didnt come with USB-A connection. And No, google photos only made it worse, sending tonnes of jumbled images i did not want backed up, to my drive. 2. while the stock android experience is great in that it leaves you free from bloatware, the apps preloaded (which largely can all be deleted) dont always compare to the contemporaries used with lets say Samsung. I had far more control and enjoyment using their photo gallery, integrated readers, and even the phone app. As an example, If a contact had multiple numbers assigned, I couldnt easily determine which had been used most recently without scrolling down however far to find it. Samsung took far fewer steps to show all numbers for the contact and the dates/times connected. The lack of bloatware meant id have to load items to be able to function, so I had to get a new gallery app, and pdf reader. 3. the largest issue i had was that in the setup process, the phone was alarmingly warm. This was far worse than the setups of any of my previous phones, even the so called cheap and slow ones. I also noticed it got warm again (though not as significantly as during setup) at points when multiple applications are running. Those werent big apps either (e.g. scrolling through the notes app while on a call). Edit: Since my original post Ive noticed that during video calls, the phone regularly got hot; alarmingly so. restarting and ensuring multiple applications werent running at the same time didnt seem to help. In one instance I was in an airconditioned car, with sunlight on the phone, though not particularly hot to the point where Id even sweat. The phone within three minutes gave an overheating warning and started to shut down functions. Im still a bit concerned given the fact that my previous lower specd phones did the same tasks without overheating to this degree. How will the phone hold up if Im in the warm outdoors for a protracted period and need to maintain contact for emergencies.

> 24 hourI love my new phone its been easy to adjust to working with the added bonus. All the added bonus have worked well with my lack of Tec skills. After having a phone that didnt work too easily it is nice to have one that is wonderful. So far the only problem was finding a accessories like a case and protection glass cover, found only one as the phone is new.
