The battery life and the big screen are probably my favorite things about this phone. Battery lasts 2-3 days for me on a full charge with mixed use compared to my galaxy s7 which would only-just last through the day. The camera is also solid. My only complaint is that there arent more case options. Really happy with my purchase. Would def recommend.

I was a fan of the pixel, had the 2XL for a long time and it held up for several years against the competitors until about 2021, 2 and a bit generations later I thought Id upgrade. The 4a doesnt feel like an upgrade from the 2 at all. The camera is not noticeably better and laughable to competitors on the same generations. I understand its a budget version, but for a phone that sells itself on camera capabilities, the focus Id expect wasnt there. Within one month I started seeing functional problems where touch screen wasnt responsive, Google assistant wouldnt work even with the phone unlocked, and never locked despite enabling it to unlock at home. I wont comment on the 5G performance as that could be a location/network issue but very disappointed with this purchase and wouldve been just fine sticking with the 2. The 4a is probably literally worth what they pay for a trade-in.

Awesome phone! Its very fast, super long battery life and pretty simple to use. I never have issues with the finger print reader. However the camera is not as good as Id hoped but I dont take pictures that often anyway. I go camping a lot and needed a phone that has excellent batter life and this one is awesome! I dont have any social media apps so I only use it for calls and texts and it lasts me all weekend. All around pretty good phone for everything I need.

I got new hearing aids whose controlling app required a version of Android newer than Oreo on my favored but ancient LG V20. So I wanted a new phone that would support the app plus 5G plus a 3.5mm jack plus did not cost an arm and a leg. the 4a 5G fit the bill and I have been very happy with it. I had live translate on my old phone that let me hear what the tour leader was saying while on the bus and it is still there. But in addition there is live captioning that translates audiobooks, videos, calls etc in real time. I also prefer the fingerprint reader because I have doubts that face-recognition would would with covid masks. The battery is a little under-powered (I had a 10,000 mah monster for the V20 which had easily replaceable batteries) but it picks up quite a bit of charge in a few minutes. So I am very happy with this baby.

Phone ringtone is a mess, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt, and the worst part is that there isnt vibration either! I have to be looking at phone constantly to know if someone is calling.

caveat: I only buy unlocked phones. You dont have to go to a store to setup the phone. Its not that hard to move a SIM card. Starting it the first time took some time, but a lot of that was downloading apps and sync. There was a step where I connected my old phone to transfer everything I wanted over. The phone works great. The screen is beautiful and bright. Havent really tried out the camera much, yet. A nice thing about it being from Google is the latest version of Android will always be available.

The phone is in the right price range and functionality, but was defective. While it could make calls, it could not receive calls. The store employees that helped us said that this was a common problem with this phone. Also, Google apparently did not lay the necessary groundwork to assure the phone was compatible with the T-Mobile network. We verified that it was compatible with the Sprint network, but did not know 2 important caveats: 1) the phone can only access the 5G Sprint network in downtown Chicago, and cannot access the T-Mobile 5G network at all, 2) the phone is NOT compatible with the T-Mobile network that Sprint customers are being moved to. We liked the initial polish and functionality but it was defective and we switched to a Samsung (more expensive) phone which worked without issue.

Very nice, inexpensive 5G phone. Battery last solid 24 hours between charges. Issues with screen edge response is frustrating. Software updates are available immediately- for now. Remains to be seen if Google will support for 3 years. For now, best price 5g phone.

bought it November 2020 the phone does not worth the 599 dollars i paid that time.i have it for a little less than three years and it is getting warm very easy regardless of my desperate attempts to update it and solve the problem. Finally i thought to change the battery so that i can solve the problem because when i first bought it i did not have an issue of over heating. The people that i took it, said to me that they would not try and put a new battery because the screen is paper thin and it brakes very easily . So i have to buy a new phone because battery plus screen is almost 140 dollars.

Im not a huge fan of the back swipe feature. It interferes with swiping to the left in other apps and when trying to view a photo album. I would like an expandable memory card slot for my already large collection of family/baby photos. The battery life is amazing though! Picture quality is outstanding in low light.
