I have google webpass fiber. I get 1GB up/down when plugging in. The google wifi router will get 120 to 300 when working which is 85% of the time. The other 15% 2mbps to 20mbps to sometimes completely disconnecting. Ive had this for 2 years and it has gotten worse and worse and I have been on the phone with tech support for hours and have been on forums trying everything... pretty interface and google simplicity < functional wifi. very disappointed in this product and will be buying a professional-grade router and modem

I bought this because my cell phone kept dropping WiFi due to too many devices. 5 consoles, 4 cell phones, 1 tablet, amazon echo, smart TV, laptop. What I got is impressive! My Comcast internet of up to 100 mbps was originally pushing around 75 mbps standing about 10 feet from the router. It took only 5 minutes to hook up Google WiFi and I’m now getting 110+ mbps on the other side of my house!! And my devices don’t disconnect from WiFi. Worth EVERY dollar. Mesh networks are the way to go.

Even though it was a little bit buggy during setup, I will still give it 5 stars. Once I got it up and running, it is truly awesome. Seemless wifi coverage over my entire house. No dead or slow spots. My homes construction is all lath and plaster, which can be troublesome, but it is no problem with google wifi. I installed all 3 access points in the attic, and utilized a POE switch with POE splitters to USB-C to power the APs. The nice thing about these APs is that unlike the competitors, these draw less than 15W making them ideal for POE. This was important to me because I installed them in the attic where 120 outlets come at a premium. Caution though, these units like most consumer electronics are only rated to 104°F ambient. If you live in a hot area and install them in your attic, take this into consideration.

I was resetting my last router constantly and was desperate for something new and reliable. As a big fan of all things Google (we have Chromecast, Home, Pixel phones), I decided to give this a try and we are so pleased after 2 months of use so far. Extremely easy to set up and control from an app on your phone - covers 1600 sq. feet of our home seamlessly and even provides some connectivity around our yard.

Just installed the Google Wifi mesh system about 24 hours ago and I am really impressed with the results. Big signal strength and speed improvement over my previous system of Apple Airport Extreme routers; which I thought were pretty good. Easy installation IF you simply follow the prompts and instructions. Three point system up and running in less than 30 minutes and I wasnt in any hurry. Speed checked on several speed tests and seems to improve with time as the software analyzes the system. Just for comparison I ran several speed tests between the Google system and the wifi router built into the Arris modem provided by my ISP, and the improvement was astonishing. I researched this system for a long while before buying on Amazon when the price dropped. I would definitely recommend. Strong signals all over my home with basement. So far, so good.

Ive had a vareity of wireless routers over the years, from all the major brands - Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, etc. My home networking requirements are not especially complex, but I do have to main areas where there a lot of wired computers/devices, and need a good, fast connection between them - the living room, and my office area. To that end, Ive tried several solutions - bridging between two routers, using a dedicated wireless to ethernet bridge in my office, powerline adapters, etc. Everything resulted in a connection that was either slow, or unreliable. I was almost to the point that I was ready to give up and just run Ethernet cable from the living room to the office, when by chance I saw the Google WiFi 3 pack was on sale. So I took the plunge and gave it a shot. Setup is insanely easy - you just plug the the power into the first access point, connect it to your modem, and use the Android app to discover, configure it via QR code & confirm its working. The app then instructs you to add the additional APs through your house one by one, discovering & joining them to the network. Once theyre all up, you can test the connectivity between them to verify optimal placment. Right away, I was able to easily bridge my living room and office area seamlessly, and the connection between the two environments is strong/fast. I also benefit from better coverage over the entire foot print of my house - very nice for when Im outside and using a wireless device. In addition, several indepedent internet speed tests report slightly faster download/upload speeds than my old router setup - nothing over the top, it just seems to make better use of the bandwidth Im paying for. Also, I make use of features like DHCP reservations & port forwarding - these are all easy to setup and configure via the app. Its also nice to be able to manage screen time on the kids devices a bit easier using the Family WiFi options to set time limits and enforce Google safesearch. Overall, Im very happy with Google wifi - its easy to setup, has great coverage, and management is simple. I do wish configuration didnt rely on the app and could be done from a PC, but honestly, Im never without my phone, so thats not that big of a deal.

Super easy to set up. You will need an app for that though. Set up process is so intuitive and easy, I was blown away. Good: Easy set up inexpensive Plug and play additional pieces you can designate certain devices as kids devices and just turn those off. great for families with kids so one can limit how much time children spend on internet Bad: my only complain is that those dont come with wall holders and cost about $10 each to buy

Enjoy a fast signal in every room, on every device. Google Wi-Fi is a new type of connected system that replaces your router for seamless coverage throughout your home. It is a standalone whole home mesh system which does not promise compatibility or interoperability with other 3rd party Wifi systems. But compatible with all Wifi client devices.
