> 3 dayIMHO, Gorilla (duct) tape is probably the most respected by outdoor enthusiast, of all brands. I think thats because it can be used in a wide variety of ways, where many other brands fail to fix the problem. For instance (all of these have been tried by myself, or by friends): 1) fixing a hole, in a water-resistant tent, WHILE its raining! 2) fixing a tear in a tent - and having it STAY fixed during the whole camping trip. 3) staying pliable, but ALSO staying attached - even when the tape is in direct sunlight, on a hot day. Pros: listed above. Also, good value (amount of tape vs. cost). Cons: 1) Its a BIG roll of tape! And, its HEAVY, and harder to find a spot for in your pack. I wish they would sell the same amount of tape, as several (3-5) smaller rolls, especially for backpacking. Solution # 1: roll a few feet around a container already in your pack. Solution # 2: roll 18-inches around each ferro rod - as an improvised handle, and as a fire starter (if needed).

> 3 daySimply the BEST tape for outdoor/weatherproof tasks. Use this tape when putting an outdoor AC covers. The addition of this tape to really secure the cover to the outer case. It holds without fail, through the rain, snow and cold of winter. Only words of praise for this weatherproof tape. Go, go, gorilla tape.

> 3 dayI ordered this for my husband who is “on-line impaired”. He uses it to patch our rubberized roof . He hasn’t complained and he is very fussy so I think he feels it’s doing the job and worth the money.

> 3 dayI purchased a new tarp and it was expensive. Well my dog enjoyed the wood under the tarp. I applied the tape and that night it rained, no issues. Held together and worked perfect.

Greater than one weekI used this on the bottom of my wife’s Honda CR-V after I installed running boards 9 years ago. I had to cut openings in the plastic protective undercover of her vehicle and unfortunately I didn’t measure well so I had some much larger than needed openings. Recently I noticed the running boards were rusting and falling apart so I decided to remove them. The gorilla tape was still there and in great shape. I actually had a hard time removing it. This is 9 years later and her crv has 170,000 miles on it. Also, I live in the northeast and we have brutal winters. After I removed the running boards and the old tape, I covered the openings with new tape and I’m sure it’ll last longer than the crv does. Very strong and durable tape. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayI really like this tape and its weatherproof, but the last 1/4 of the roll doesnt have as much adhesive on it so doesnt stick well. The adhesive is best at the beginning of the roll. Ive used 2 rolls so far and it happened on both of them.

> 3 dayMy favorite outdoor tape. Great for patching tarp, window screens, mosquito netting, cardboard boxes, backpacks, and so much more. I use it to cover electrical tape on outdoor wiring, too. Ive made a small bag out of it, as well as several book covers. This is my choicest tape for cracked drum heads (except the middle of the head, never tape the middle). Ive been using the same small strands of this stuff to secure the lids on my bug spray and sunscreen for 2 or 3 years and they still stick. Maybe I should use sunscreen more often, but thats not the point. Gorilla tape holds the line. Ive wrapped Gorilla tape around a broken fence and forgotten about it for years. Gorilla tape is holding together a 6 ft tower of Amazon boxes that one of my cats is sleeping in right now. Those cats beat that tower up every day, and yet Gorilla tape holds. I cant remember the last time I bought duct tape that WASNT Gorilla. Ive literally used hundreds of pounds of this stuff, its the best tape Ive ever used. If youre going camping, bring a bit of this tape. If you have an outdoor gig that might last 3 days, bring a roll. If you dont want to spend $300 on a sweet cat castle, buy a $20 roll of Gorilla tape and save a few packing boxes for almost free. If your free weights are shredding your palms, but you dont want to sacrifice grip - Gorilla. I cut my forearm doing heavy yard work last summer and Gorilla taped it for the whole day. A little antibiotic cream and Gorilla tape makes a hardcore bandaid. If you twist it you can make a handle for nearly all your gear. I cant even remember all the things Ive put handles on; about a dozen walking sticks and a couple lamps, for example. Writing this review has made me realize how much Ive depended on Gorilla tape for so long. I think Ill write Gorilla a letter of appreciation. Need tape? Go Gorilla.
