IMHO, Gorilla (duct) tape is probably the most respected by outdoor enthusiast, of all brands. I think thats because it can be used in a wide variety of ways, where many other brands fail to fix the problem. For instance (all of these have been tried by myself, or by friends): 1) fixing a hole, in a water-resistant tent, WHILE its raining! 2) fixing a tear in a tent - and having it STAY fixed during the whole camping trip. 3) staying pliable, but ALSO staying attached - even when the tape is in direct sunlight, on a hot day. Pros: listed above. Also, good value (amount of tape vs. cost). Cons: 1) Its a BIG roll of tape! And, its HEAVY, and harder to find a spot for in your pack. I wish they would sell the same amount of tape, as several (3-5) smaller rolls, especially for backpacking. Solution # 1: roll a few feet around a container already in your pack. Solution # 2: roll 18-inches around each ferro rod - as an improvised handle, and as a fire starter (if needed).

So I bought this because I had bought some secure cameras for outdoor use. The cameras came with mounts with double sided tape. All was well, until it for really Hot and they all fell down. I bought a couple different outdoor mounting tapes and I kept getting the same results. Then I stumbled across this magical tape. Its awesome. Very easy to tear pieces off, and it holds great. So far so good, with no issues. For the first time in months I havent had to go outside and fix a camera that was falling down and pointing at the ground.

Very sturdy and strong. But it can be difficult to peel from roll. Will surely by again

Ive had similar occurrences to those in review photos here. Not as bad as those photos show, but still on some level. Peeling the tape from the roll is trickier. And tearing pieces off with my hands is also more trickier than regular Gorilla tape. The physical substance of this stuff is different. Would take some getting used to, but I want the original kind next time.

Bought it to fix my subwoofer box that had an air leak due to the wood crack from the power of the subs. No more air leaks and the bass sounds amazing again. Would recommend

The tape is low tack meaning it does not stick well... until exposed to heat. Too much heat and it is no longer low tack. Optimal application temperature is 70-90 degrees. Colder and it wont stick without exposure to sun (or a heat gun). ON HOT DAYS 80+ KEEP THIS OUT OF THE SUN UNTIL APPLIED. It will be TOO sticky if left in the sun on the roll on a hot day, you wont be able to get it off the roll. Once applied, the sun will hit it and it will get gooey and then it is permanent. We use this as a deck joist tape with great results. Cheapest on the market and appears better than the competition.
