The goStaunch strapping tape set looks to be good quality, with thickness and good adhesion as expected. We are using it for sealing boxes for an upcoming move. It came with 4 rolls in the set. I recommend it.

Great for packing up boxes for a move

After reading other reviews of this product I decided to give it a go. I routinely pack and ship hand crafted items as a hobby, and the items I make often have some weight to them. This packing tape simply doesn’t meet the task of keeping heavier boxes sealed and closed. Upon receiving the tape from Amazon I put it to use boxing up a few items, and each line of tape I applied to the box didn’t adhere well, at all. Sections of the tape wouldn’t stick to the cardboard, and each strip of tape could be peeled off easily and without issue. Stated simply, a box sealed with this tape isn’t secure. I fully acknowledge that my experience with this product is very atypical when reading the other reviews. Maybe I received a defective version of this tape, or maybe the applications noted in other reviews weren’t for boxes containing heavier items. Regardless, I will be going back to my standard (and more expensive) 3M clear packing tape. I was hoping to save some money with this product, but I suppose the old adage is true… You get what you pay for. Signed, Disappointed EDIT: Following my initial review, GoStauch reached out to me to discuss my experience with their tape. They agreed that my experience likely indicated a defective product, and they sent another 4-pack of their tape. Tape rolls from this second pack are performing better, but Im still reinforcing them with clear 3M packing tape to be sure the tape is secure. I bumped my rating based on the companys response alone, and I may revisit it again once I have more experience with using this tape in more packing and shipping situations.

This is very strong strapping tape. It has the fiberglass threads running through it that makes it strong and durable. For me this is much better than the standard clear tape where it breaks, tangles or you cant find the end or edge and its frustrating. This tape is 5.5 mm thick and I can find the edge easy by feel and even see the edge. It also sticks to the surface without needing to be pressed down again and again. Very good tape.

This strapping tape is very strong with excellent adherence. Its great for sealing moving boxes, mailing boxes, and bundling cardboard for recycling. Due to the strength, and stickiness of this tape, its much easier to apply and cut through it using a tape gun or hand held dispenser.

This tape works really well Excellent for sealing boxes meant for storage. Or for boxes that youre planning to travel with to a new location or ship through a carrier. But you better be sure about your decision when it comes to where you want this pape. Once you press it down its not coming off without a fight.

I live this tape!! It’s so much stronger and waaaay stickier than packing tape and even duct tape, especially when it comes to cardboard boxes. It doesn’t cut well with a tape dispenser, unless you have one that has a “straight” blade…if they make such a thing?? If your tape dispenser has the “teeth” blade, it doesn’t cut the nylon strings running through the tape at all. Personally, I use the dispenser to apply the tape, then use a box cutter to cut the tape. It’s a bit of a pain that way, but since the tape itself is far superior to any other tape I’ve used on cardboard boxes, it’s worth the extra step!!

This tape is very heavy duty. I used it for moving boxes and it worked so well. I love how durable it is and at the same time affordable.

This is the really thick strong packing tape - it holds extremely well when taping boxes. I used to get the cheap tape at the dollar store and ended up using more because it wasnt very strong. This set of 4 packs totaling 120 yards is a great value for the price. Itll be a long while before I need to buy packing tape again.

This is a great top-layer tape that i use as a final layer on my boxes. This helps to hold in the contents and helps to strengthen the lower layers of tape.
