> 3 dayTheres packing tape and then theres strapping tape. When in doubt of which one you need, use this one. Its not going to come undone until someone deliberately removes it.

11-06-2025This tapes was very sticky so adhered to cardboard boxes easily. The reinforcing in it left me feeling very comfortable that the boxes I was taping closed would stay sealed. It is very sticky so you have to take care not to let it touch itself when applying. I used a simple box knife to cut it while applying as I do not have/use a tape gun. Not something you can tear by hand.

Greater than one weekThis strapping tape is very strong with excellent adherence. Its great for sealing moving boxes, mailing boxes, and bundling cardboard for recycling. Due to the strength, and stickiness of this tape, its much easier to apply and cut through it using a tape gun or hand held dispenser.

> 3 dayGreat for packaging boxes, not too heavy for cutting, but strong enough to not have to double and triple up when sealing a box.

> 3 dayIve used heavy duty filament tape at the warehouse for a close to a couple of decades now, so Im very accustomed to this type of packaging. One thing that Ive learned over the past several years is that there are different thicknesses to both the clear packing tapes that we use AND the filament tapes that we use. Ive used some filament tapes that are thicker, stronger, and lay flatter without wrinkling, and Ive used thinner filament tapes that are more prone to wrinkling. This is somewhere in between, and closer to the thinner side of the spectrum in terms of how it dispenses and lays across boxes. Where Im a little confused is that the industrial filament tape that we use is 6 mil (we use to seal boxes that exceed 40 lbs.), and is noticeably thicker and flatter-laying than this tape, which is advertised as 5.5 mil. This 5.5 mil tape just seems very close to the 4 mil economy filament tape that we use (used at the warehouse to seal 20-39 lb. boxes). Id think if this is 5.5 mil vs. the 6 mil of our industrial grade, it would be closer to the industrial grade in terms of how it functions and lays across boxes, but thats not the case. Kind of perplexing to me... In any case, I didnt want to swipe a roll from work, but I could sure use a roll or two of filament tape around my house, and so this will do the job just fine. I like that it has a lead-roll indicator strip (it sounds trivial, but weve bought BOXES of tape at work that have NO ROLL-START LINE INDICATOR ON THEM -- takes forever to find where the thing starts!). Overall, I give this a 4 out of 5 and will have plenty of utility for it around the house when taping up heavy boxes and such. Bonus that I didnt have to buy a full case of it, although you are paying a premium for a single roll (if youre running through this kind of tape like water, as we do at the warehouse, look for bulk packs -- such as 4 or 6 rolls -- or entire cases which are normally 24 to 36 rolls, and the price-per-roll will be lower).
