> 3 dayI had to tape up a treadmill in a thrown together box and this tape is the only thing that was able to hold over 100 pounds all together. Amazing! I can’t believe I’m fawning over tape but it saved me hundreds of dollars.

Greater than one weekI do a fair amount of shipping and use packing tape on every box. Typically, I use the normal clear. Sometimes I need a stronger tape, especially when I am packing dishes or crystal. I wanted to be sure the tape is strong. The goStaunch tape is what I needed. Normally I use 3.1 mil tape, the goStaunch is 5.5, so almost twice as thick. The adhesive is good, no issues. But the fiberglass reinforcement is what makes the tape stand out. It is not going to easily be broken or cut. I have the goStaunch loaded in a tape gun. It rolls easy, but as would be expected it is a little tougher to cut it with the teeth that are on the gun. I practiced cutting a little bit, and found a little harder, quick cut was the best for me. I now have a gun with the standard 3.1 mil, and another with the goStaunch for when I need the extra strength. Aside from shipping, it would be a great tape for someone just packing moving boxes to put across the bottom to keep it from opening/dropping out. The goStaunch solves my need for a heavier, stronger tape. Recommended for packing when you need the extra security.

> 3 dayI got these because I just sent a 40 pound package 1000 miles through the mail in a cardboard box that Ive had since 1996. The box was never in the rain or anything, but it was 26 years old and not in pristine condition. I wrapped the box in 2 inch wide cellophane tape because I had run out of the fiberglass reinforced strapping tape I really wanted. I overwrapped the cellophane tape with gaffers tape because it was the strongest stuff I had. I probably spent 10 bucks on tape because I didnt have the good stuff like this from goStaunch. So, for about a buck and a half (about 30 feet at a nickel a foot) I could have had this tape on my old box and not have worried about it making the trip. I know better now and I am prepared for the next time this happens. You cannot hardly break this stuff and it will pull cardboard fibers off an old box with only a slight amount of pressure applied. It is great packing tape.

12-06-2025Super Strong, Heavy Duty Packing Tape, 1.88 x 45 yards, fiberglass reinforced. The 5.5 mil thickness is double what most tapes provide, so it will ensure a strong seal that wont break. Good adhesion qualities and very tough tape, to keep heavy items safe.

> 3 dayI was looking for a reinforced packing tape I could use to better seal boxes containing heavier items for shipping, and that is exactly what I got. This tape is strong, flexible and sticky, which gives me confidence in shipping than regular clear packing tape thats not reinforced. Im very pleased with this purchase.

> 3 dayAfter reading other reviews of this product I decided to give it a go. I routinely pack and ship hand crafted items as a hobby, and the items I make often have some weight to them. This packing tape simply doesn’t meet the task of keeping heavier boxes sealed and closed. Upon receiving the tape from Amazon I put it to use boxing up a few items, and each line of tape I applied to the box didn’t adhere well, at all. Sections of the tape wouldn’t stick to the cardboard, and each strip of tape could be peeled off easily and without issue. Stated simply, a box sealed with this tape isn’t secure. I fully acknowledge that my experience with this product is very atypical when reading the other reviews. Maybe I received a defective version of this tape, or maybe the applications noted in other reviews weren’t for boxes containing heavier items. Regardless, I will be going back to my standard (and more expensive) 3M clear packing tape. I was hoping to save some money with this product, but I suppose the old adage is true… You get what you pay for. Signed, Disappointed EDIT: Following my initial review, GoStauch reached out to me to discuss my experience with their tape. They agreed that my experience likely indicated a defective product, and they sent another 4-pack of their tape. Tape rolls from this second pack are performing better, but Im still reinforcing them with clear 3M packing tape to be sure the tape is secure. I bumped my rating based on the companys response alone, and I may revisit it again once I have more experience with using this tape in more packing and shipping situations.

> 3 dayJust okay. Nothing to write home about for what it is. I use it for taping mattress bags for a side job and it comes right off the plastic if you pull on it too hard. I’d expect more out of a good tape.
