> 3 dayThis is the stuff you use when you need some strength to the tape when taping boxes closed for shipment. This is fiber reinforced to prevent tearing or breaking of the packing tape. It looks really strong and should ensure your package wont burst open. It will be stronger than the box its taping together, most likely.

> 3 dayAfter reading other reviews of this product I decided to give it a go. I routinely pack and ship hand crafted items as a hobby, and the items I make often have some weight to them. This packing tape simply doesn’t meet the task of keeping heavier boxes sealed and closed. Upon receiving the tape from Amazon I put it to use boxing up a few items, and each line of tape I applied to the box didn’t adhere well, at all. Sections of the tape wouldn’t stick to the cardboard, and each strip of tape could be peeled off easily and without issue. Stated simply, a box sealed with this tape isn’t secure. I fully acknowledge that my experience with this product is very atypical when reading the other reviews. Maybe I received a defective version of this tape, or maybe the applications noted in other reviews weren’t for boxes containing heavier items. Regardless, I will be going back to my standard (and more expensive) 3M clear packing tape. I was hoping to save some money with this product, but I suppose the old adage is true… You get what you pay for. Signed, Disappointed EDIT: Following my initial review, GoStauch reached out to me to discuss my experience with their tape. They agreed that my experience likely indicated a defective product, and they sent another 4-pack of their tape. Tape rolls from this second pack are performing better, but Im still reinforcing them with clear 3M packing tape to be sure the tape is secure. I bumped my rating based on the companys response alone, and I may revisit it again once I have more experience with using this tape in more packing and shipping situations.

> 3 dayI do a lot of shipping of heavy boxes, so quality packing tape is always a concern. This reinforced tape solves all my worries though. Its heavy duty so you can use less without any issues. Ill be back for more!

> 3 dayIve used heavy duty filament tape at the warehouse for a close to a couple of decades now, so Im very accustomed to this type of packaging. One thing that Ive learned over the past several years is that there are different thicknesses to both the clear packing tapes that we use AND the filament tapes that we use. Ive used some filament tapes that are thicker, stronger, and lay flatter without wrinkling, and Ive used thinner filament tapes that are more prone to wrinkling. This is somewhere in between, and closer to the thinner side of the spectrum in terms of how it dispenses and lays across boxes. Where Im a little confused is that the industrial filament tape that we use is 6 mil (we use to seal boxes that exceed 40 lbs.), and is noticeably thicker and flatter-laying than this tape, which is advertised as 5.5 mil. This 5.5 mil tape just seems very close to the 4 mil economy filament tape that we use (used at the warehouse to seal 20-39 lb. boxes). Id think if this is 5.5 mil vs. the 6 mil of our industrial grade, it would be closer to the industrial grade in terms of how it functions and lays across boxes, but thats not the case. Kind of perplexing to me... In any case, I didnt want to swipe a roll from work, but I could sure use a roll or two of filament tape around my house, and so this will do the job just fine. I like that it has a lead-roll indicator strip (it sounds trivial, but weve bought BOXES of tape at work that have NO ROLL-START LINE INDICATOR ON THEM -- takes forever to find where the thing starts!). Overall, I give this a 4 out of 5 and will have plenty of utility for it around the house when taping up heavy boxes and such. Bonus that I didnt have to buy a full case of it, although you are paying a premium for a single roll (if youre running through this kind of tape like water, as we do at the warehouse, look for bulk packs -- such as 4 or 6 rolls -- or entire cases which are normally 24 to 36 rolls, and the price-per-roll will be lower).

> 3 daySuitable for oddly shaped materials or a simple parcel, a great alternative to normal nylon tapes for packages that need extra protection.

Greater than one weekI ordered the GOSTAUNCH Tape to apply to freezer paper (used to wrap raw meats, fish, & vegetables), because I needed a tape that would withstand freezing temperatures while remaining affixed to the paper, in an attempt to prevent freezer-burn; especially when the package was in the freezer for a lengthy amount of time. This tape had fiber reinforced strips and adhesive backing that were durable enough to remain bonded to the freezer paper that wrapped meat, etc. A bonus for me was that the ½” in width roll of tape, fit on a towel rack that I use to store a large spool of freezer-wrap paper; eliminating the need for me to search for the tape, each and every time I needed to use it.
