I got this goStaunch Strapping Tape 4Pcs, 1.88in x 30yds Fiber Tape - 5.5Mil Thick Heavy Duty Fiberglass Tape - PET Synthetic Rubber Adhesive Filament Tape - Reinforced Packing Tape - Bundling, Closing Cartons in recently and it works great. This is excellent quality tape. It’s thick and it fits on a tape gun. It doesn’t tear down the middle like some of the cheaper brands I’ve used do. I’m using this to tape cardboard boxes for storage and for shipping. I did use it to tape a garden hose together to put in storage and it worked great for all the above. I had a picture took of me trying to tear it from the sides and I couldn’t do it bare handed. This tape is really strong. Overall great tape that holds good and is easy to use. I would recommend this tape

I picked this up to perhaps re-enforce some of the heavier packages that I send out. I already have a TON of regular tape. It doesnt smell too gross compared to a lot of the other tape I pick up. I also like that when I pull one roll out of the package, the rest of them hold together and dont fall apart into 4 rolls. So I can keep the other 3 in the package until I need them.

I loaned a roll to a relative to tape a box; he often ships things. He said this is probably the best strapping tape Ive ever used.

I had to tape up a treadmill in a thrown together box and this tape is the only thing that was able to hold over 100 pounds all together. Amazing! I can’t believe I’m fawning over tape but it saved me hundreds of dollars.

I bought this tape to hold a very large bathroom mirror together so I didn’t wind up with a mass while removing it. Holy cow! This tape is super strong! I ended up having to break the mirror to make it easier to remove, and the tape held so well, it was actually tough separating the mirror pieces. Lol! I would (will) buy this stuff again when I run out!

This stuff is great for reinforcing boxes. There was one move when I knew I needed to load quickly and I would be tired when unloading so I packed accordingly using clothes as cushions and reinforced the boxes with strapping tape like this. I slung the boxes on the truck and stacked them when I had enough on it so I wouldnt have to keep going up and down from the truck with each box. Then, I literally threw them off the truck when at the destination to put less strain on me. Each box held up with strapping tape like this wrapped at key points around the boxes. I was able to make the transfer of our stuff from one place to another using this technique. I dont like the process of moving, by the way, so it was a little fun to just throw our stuff around. I packed it well so nothing got broken. Clothing is a cheap and very effective packing material.

Strong good adhesion

After reading other reviews of this product I decided to give it a go. I routinely pack and ship hand crafted items as a hobby, and the items I make often have some weight to them. This packing tape simply doesn’t meet the task of keeping heavier boxes sealed and closed. Upon receiving the tape from Amazon I put it to use boxing up a few items, and each line of tape I applied to the box didn’t adhere well, at all. Sections of the tape wouldn’t stick to the cardboard, and each strip of tape could be peeled off easily and without issue. Stated simply, a box sealed with this tape isn’t secure. I fully acknowledge that my experience with this product is very atypical when reading the other reviews. Maybe I received a defective version of this tape, or maybe the applications noted in other reviews weren’t for boxes containing heavier items. Regardless, I will be going back to my standard (and more expensive) 3M clear packing tape. I was hoping to save some money with this product, but I suppose the old adage is true… You get what you pay for. Signed, Disappointed EDIT: Following my initial review, GoStauch reached out to me to discuss my experience with their tape. They agreed that my experience likely indicated a defective product, and they sent another 4-pack of their tape. Tape rolls from this second pack are performing better, but Im still reinforcing them with clear 3M packing tape to be sure the tape is secure. I bumped my rating based on the companys response alone, and I may revisit it again once I have more experience with using this tape in more packing and shipping situations.

Easy to use wrapping large boxes that need to be shipped.

Theres packing tape and then theres strapping tape. When in doubt of which one you need, use this one. Its not going to come undone until someone deliberately removes it.
