Grabbit Magnetic Sewing Pincushion with 50 Plastic Head Pins, Black

> 3 dayLove this pincushion. Okay, it is not a cushion, but a plastic plate/bowl sort of thing with a magnet inside. It grabs the pins really easily, and you dont have to worry about which end is up. Since the pins that come with it have balls on the ends it makes them easy to grab. The magnet tends to make the pins line up parallel to each other so that helps too. I bought this on a lark a decade or so ago, and really thought I wouldnt care all that much for it since I was used to a traditional pin cushion I could stab happily. I changed my mind. Mine got destroyed recently so I just bought replacement, and picked up another for my daughter. The pins that come with the Grabbit are long, balled and sharp. When I first bought one, I fell in love with the pins too, and couldnt find replacements. They do sell the pins separately now, too. Two more pluses to this contraption: you can turn it upside down and wave it close to the ground or your table to pick up dropped stray pins without needing to search. They get picked right up. I keep my small sewing awl on here as well, and it has become slightly magnetized. I put the tip against the ball end of the pins as I get to them while sewing on a machine. They slide right out sticking to the awl, ready to be dropped back onto the pin cushion. Word to the wise: dont drop the pincushion. The magnet inside mine broke in half when I did and it was never quite the same.

> 3 dayLove this magnetic pin cushion, just turn it upside down and your pins instantly attach to it. The plastic pin heads are long and good quality. They also pick up my glass head pins just as easily, that didnt come with it. Well worth the money I paid for it.

Greater than one weekI dont know if this product is perfect or not, but it comes pretty close to it, for its uses. The product is a great grabbit, magnetic, pin-cushion and it works just great. I also like the color of this product as well. It is nicely done. I would give it a full 5 stars, except that Im picky about possibly pricking my fingers when I go to grab a pin needle (as I am not always looking, when I am sewing on my machine), otherwise its function is perfect!

> 3 dayI love the color, love the strength of the magnet and I actually use the plastic case it came in to secure the pins which is still functioning after so many times of using it. must buy if you sew, its a lifesaver!

> 3 dayAs expected, I bought it for the magnet. Good thing as the pins are crap. They are very thick and a little short. I actually threw them out. Magnet itself works great.

Greater than one weekI have 2 of these handy magnets...one for my quilting pins and one for my sewing pins. The bright colors make it easier to find under a pile of fabric. Its simple to grab a pin from magnet and it will pick pins off floor and machine throat plate quickly...no more hunting for or spilling pins on the floor, making sewing more pleasant and much faster. I may get one more for my Heirloom glass head pins... The pins that come with this magnet are very poor quality. I threw them away... fabric is too expensive to make holes in!

> 3 dayI go through spurts of sewing. Recently I was making face masks for friends (Covid 19). I ordered it because I was tired of pins all over the house. Love it! I plan on ordering a second one to keep at the ironing board area as I press and remove pins there. One will stay at sewing machine. Came quickly and well packaged.

Greater than one weekPins and I have a love/hate relationship. I get so caught up in my sewing that I can lose track of where I put pins as I pull them out, they can end up on the floor, under my machine, or get hidden by fabric that I sweep away on my cutting mat, only to feel that sharp pain...well, you know what I mean. This is so great!! I dont have to be precise with a usual pincushion, etc., now. The truth is that you can almost toss them in the general direction of this Grabbit and theyre sucked onto it! They line up in a nice way, as well, so that you can go for a pin without worrying about sticking yourself, as happens in a pin box, etc. Id happily gift this to any sewer I know!!

> 3 dayI first need to say What a company the first one I received was packaged with three very heavy items and of course this item was broken. Had no hassles and got my replacement the very next day! Undamaged and I love this product! The strong magnet grabs all the pins I give it. This magnet helps me in my quilting by getting the pins but also by letting them go just as easily as I put them near the magnet. Also small enough to fit in my machine or next to giving me room to sew !! What a time saver.
