> 3 dayIts still magnetized, but day before yesterdy (and its less than a week old), it got knocked off the ironing board, and when I picked it up, it had a big chunk broken not-quite-out of the rim of the plastic housing. Now, I realize that the magnet still mags -- not a single pin dropped off when it fell -- or if they did, they fell into space as it hit the floor, and immediately bounced back up onto the upside-down surface of the blue plastice. I also realize that not all plastics are made equal and some may cost a bit more to house the magnet in than others, but could Blue Feather not have specified to the factory to use one that was not expected to break when it hit linoleum over concrete when dropped from the height of an ironing board? After all, many of us have playful cats. Playful kids. Some of us even have periodic playful earthquakes (we know who we are.) Things do fall off ironing boards. This is within the Prime period for sending it back, but Im not sure its ethical to ask to send it back, damaged, so Im keeping it. As I say -- the magnet still mags. But I implore you, Blue Feather -- have a talk with your manufacturer and see if you can come up with a more durable plastic. If I find out you have, Ill buy the improved model. And write a new review.

> 3 dayworks great to keep pins readily available in one place and not on the floor! Powerful magnet lighter than old one my mother gave me years ago. I really like it.

> 3 dayAs expected, I bought it for the magnet. Good thing as the pins are crap. They are very thick and a little short. I actually threw them out. Magnet itself works great.

> 3 dayI wish I had bought one (or more) of these years ago. It really speeds up my sewing when I don’t have to put pins back in the pin cushion, just get them near this magnetic dish as they stay. Makes pins easy to grab also. Just be careful not to get other metal objects near it. I accidentally got my fabric shears too close and was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to pull them away, the magnolia pretty strong.

> 3 dayI’m super messy when I’m sewing. I always end up with pins everywhere. This works exactly like the video shows and it makes my life SO much easier. Get yourself one, save your sanity.

Greater than one weekThe magnetic base makes it a lot easier to corral the pins & reduces the chance of pins falling on the floor.

> 3 dayIm new to sewing. The pins I originally bought had fine heads and were hard to see. It was also easy to miss one that might not bave made it back into its storage container. This magnetic pin cushion is sold with bright coloured pin heads which are easy to see. The cushion grips the pins firmly enough that when I turn it upside down the pins remain firmly attached to it. I can hover it around my work area to make sure I havent missed any pins or needles. I am happy with this purchase.
